Been playing guitar since 13, started off on the trumpet in 4th grade. My father has been a lifelong musician and that's what got me interested.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
Ricky Skaggs...don't remember much about it, was very young. First memorable concert was the Allman Brothers.
What gear do you use?
Right now I am playing an Eastman 'El Rey' ER3 model hollowbody electric which I am absolutely in love with through a custom Headstrong Prima 30 Watt head and 4x10 Eminence Copperhead speakers.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Allman Brothers...and they still are.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I currently sing and play guitar in a band called 'Flannel', we are a three-piece rock outfit specializing in 90's era covers. I also freelance on guitar with other artists occasionally.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Duane Allman...a true visionary.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
Biggest shows I have done were at various festivals is the Midwest with Leon Russell during my stint on the road with him in 2007, audiences ranged between 5,000 to 10,000 I'm guessing. Most memorable one has to be getting to play on the site of the original Woodstock festival as part of Levon Helm's 'Ramble on the Road' concert series (also with Leon).
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
I reject this question on grammatical grounds...there is no such thing as a 'desert island'.
