Started playing music at age 10 (trumpet). Rock music took hold at age 11 and formed a band with my brother Bill (Jester and the Aces) as the band's drummer. Picked up the guitar at age 13 and haven't been able to put it down snce! Played in a variety of professional bands from the 70's until now. Currently performing as a soloist, duo (with Smilin' Ed Kramer), and as a longtime player (25 years) with The Mighty Manatees. Enjoying new projects with my son Rob Tomlinson (guitar/vocals) and 60's style band the Wayback Machine.

Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
The Beatles. Saw them on the Ed Sullivan Show when I was 8 years old!! Loved all of their music. Then came CCR... hit after hit after hit. Our band was playing everything record they made. A ton of influences followed... The Eagles, James Taylor, Dan Fogelberg, The Platters, The Temptations, Hall & Oates... on and on. The biggest influence howevere was my brother Bill. He's 4 years older than me and got me involved in playing rock music!
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Jester & The Aces, The Elcetric Connection, Destiny, Foxfire & The Mighty Manatees. Most bands played current (top 40) tunes, which has transcended in "Classic Rock." Foxfire expanded on the R&B material (Lionel Richie, Rick James, Madonna) and the Mighty Manatees added reggae and roots.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Paul McCartney. Obvious major influence. He would be fun to jam with... I'm familiar with alot of his material!! Probably followed by Joh Fogerty,,,
