How long have you been playing?
I started playing drums by accident while playing lead guitar in a surf-rock band when I was 14 years old. Before that, I had studied piano. My grandfather was my mentor and teacher. He taught me the basics of classical music. We would do duets together at church functions.
Later, I studied guitar at The Old Town School of Folk Music; Lyon & Healy Music school in downtown Chicago. I became interested in drumming while playing lead guitar in an all boys surf/rock band called, Debi & The LA Classmen for Loyola Academy.... After 6 months of teaching myself to set up and play the drums I auditioned for an all girl band which was managed by Carl Bonafede, aka Screaming WildMan, on the radio and manager for The Buckinghams and many other well known Chicago acts. I got the job as drummer for Daughters of Eve. We recorded several 45's and had a large following. We were one of the first all girl bands in Chicago. I moved to L.A. when I was 19 yrs. old and continued my musical career playing & recording with numerous bands, duos, solo artists. I travelled to many places including Hawaii, Alaska, Japan, and several trips across the USA. I also recorded for commercials such as CocaCola, Instant Carnation Breakfast and others. I have played drums and/or recorded with Michael McDonald, Harry James, Frank Sinatra, Jr., Tony Martin, Jr., Guy Findley, Rip Masters, Cadillac Angels, The Jill Warhol Band, Sugar, and many many more.

What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
Honolulu, Hawaii> The Diamond Head Crater Festival in July, 1975 with an all female rock group called, SUGAR.
Probably several thousand people were there. They filled the crater.
I played so many one nighters. Some honky-tonks, dives, stripclubs, casinos, biker bars. some had as few as 3 people sometimes. But, as long as they liked it that was all that mattered.

You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
