Began poking piano keys as soon as I could reach them, trying to figure out what notes went together and which didn't...4th grade violin lessons. First "real" guitar, 1969...After learning the old folk tunes that came with the book, began figuring out Beatles tunes. Later got a book on Blues Guitar...etc.,etc......
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Toss up....Bach & Beatles.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Been in several bands...don't enjoy "music by comittee". The individual quest of the singer-songwriter is more to my liking.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
B.B.King...he seems very non-threatening and fun to work with.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
About 200 at the Berklee Performance Center as part of a songwriting class.
Smallest: about 2 people at an open mike night. A mother brought her son to try performing on the PA.
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
If I can't take 5 or 6 I won't go! Only one? Then it's a John Denver. I'll say "Seasons of the Heart" because it always gets me smiling.
