What was the first concert you ever went to?
Altamont, Symphony for the Devil. My friend had a cast from his leg to his hip. He passed me in a cab headed right for the stage. He was stopped by the human crush about a hundred feet from the stage. He wayched the show from the roof of the cab.

Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Thelonious Monk. I was 15 and he played at the 5 Spot, which used to let me in.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Managed a band, Sneaky Cooking, in the 70's and 80's. I wrote the songs. Recorded an album of my songs, Potpourri, a few years ago. I play in a band now with Sredni, the Band's harp player. We are The Legendary RT and Sredni.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
The Reverend Gary Davis...my biggest influence on guitar.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
5000 at the 2008 NY Harvest Festival was the biggest. Most memorable was with the comedian, Randy Credico at The Alchemy, Woodstock, NY.
