How long have you been playing?
I play guitar around 35 years now. First mainly electric guitar, Blues + rock-Style. Since 2001 I started to learn acoustic fingerstyle guitar (Blues, Ragtime, Jazz, folk, New Acoustic). I listen to a lot of different music and try to integrate it in my personal guitar style
What was the first concert you ever went to?
I really dont remember - might be a local band in my early teens....
What gear do you use?
Electric guitars by G& L (ASAT und Legacy), MusicMan Silhouette, Yamaha SA 2200, Thorsten Hans Custom (Mod. Reverend and Thinline Telcaster), Formentera(self built),Heritage Archtop H 575
Amps by Koch, MESA Boogie, Vox, Sessionette, AER

What are you looking for from Fandalism?
I like to see and hear, what other passionated musicians around the world play and produce... and share my things.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
All the great players like Clapton, B.B. King, Albert Collins; Jethro Tull, Allman Brothers;Jeff Beck, Albert Lee
later some more Jazz/Fusion orientiented Guitarists like Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, Mike Stern, John Scofield. Also to mention: the great Johnny A. from Boston.
Since ten years I study some great acoustic guitarists like Woody Mann, Eric Lugosch,Tim Sparks, Pat Kirtley,ThomasKleemaier, Willie Salomon ,Don Ross; some Jazz Players like Martin Taylor or Peter Autschbach.
I visited several workshops with these guys and also organize some "Acoustic Guitar Weekends" since 2005 - see:http://www.awo-bb-tue.de/seiten/download/2013_veranst.pdf

If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
The former rhythm section of Robben Ford (Tom Brechtlein/Drums + Roscoe Beck/Bass)-
never heard any better drummer + bassplayer for this musical style..
Also a session with the Neville Brothers would be a great pleasure....

What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
The greater audiences might be some hundred people at local festivals;
with SOULED OUT we had a lot of very nice gigs - especially in March 2011 in Sindelfingen,
where we produced a Live-DVD....

You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
I would take "Black Key Blues", an acoustic guitar album by Chicagos Fingerstyle-Master ERIC LUGOSCH - very nice and elaborated stuff. I work on this compositions for years now,
its great fun. Eric is a good friend of mine now - I like his special treatment to all kind of american music styles. Most of it traditional stuff, but he puts some real sophisticated/tasteful arrangements to it.
