First singing performance at age 5. Learned to play the flute at age 11 and was a band geek all through high school. Became a Professional singer at age 19.

Armstrong Flute. Telefunken Microphones ROCK! also have used Beyer Dynamic for Acappella stuff but T-funk if my current fave
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Hard to name one. But I have to say that Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Margie Adam and Jill Scott and Alana Davis all inspired me to find my own voice.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Furthur, SoVoSo. Psychedelic Rock, World Jazz Acapella respectively. Zoe Ellis helped me audition for Furthur. I found SoVoSo in 1994 as a spin-off of Bobby McFerrin's VOicestra. Yep I gig with them both regularly

What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
Oakland Raiders National Anthem - 60,000. smallest was probably an audience of 9 at Simple Pleasures cafe in San Francisco, CA
