I am looking for the best social media platform available to indie artists that are trying to fight this battle within the music industry.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Led Zeppelin
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Shecky is and will always be my solo project. But I have been in bands for 2 decades. Punk, rock, metal, funk, tribute, covers, country and more. And here are the bands I was in that you have never heard of: Anxiety Neurosis, Deadlock, Flyswater, Bluck!, Metanoia, Underworld Addicts, George Fourman Thrill, Through Being Cool, Blue River Band, Pragmatic, Iron Maiden tribute and various session work.
Currently I am the bassist for Nashville recording artist Jason Sturgeon. I am very fortunate to have this opportunity to play with some world class musicians. I am having a blast and have made some incredible new friends as well. Check out the goods at www.jasonsturgeonmusic.com
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Les Claypool. He took the bass to an unattainable level. Many will mimic (including me) but there will only be one Les. And the dude sings while molesting the bass!
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
Flyswater, October 31st 199? Hell on earth at the Emerson Theater. Not positive on the number but the venue was wall to wall.
The smallest (on more than one occasion) was 0 unless you count the other bands. But I perform the same regardless of the attendance
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
