I've been playing for 18 years. I started playing guitar when I was five. I picked up a guitar because of an Eagles concert that was on tv when I was young.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
I saw Alabama when I was about 7 or so at the Mississippi Valley Fair with my parent. I'd never seen a concert before. It was pretty cool. I've seen about 80 acts in concert.
What gear do you use?
I've got about fourteen guitars. Ephiphone Les Paul, Fender Strat, Peavey Wolfgang, a paisley Crook Custom, a Martin acoustic, Fender Acoustic, Dean Banjo BW6, Fender Mandolin, and a few others I dont play as much.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
The Eagles. Joe Walsh was the reason I picked up a guitar. The playing style of that guy is next to none. Hes just good. There are no bells or whistles needed when your that good.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I am currently not in a band. I guess you could say I'm in the reserves.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Joe Walsh would be my top pick but I'll jam with anyone who is willing. I'd really like to sit down with Garth Brooks if I had the chance. Hes such an under rated guitar player.I'd also like to play with Michael Britt of Lonestar.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
The biggest was probably at the iWireless Center in Moline Illinois or possibly the Alliant Energy Center in Madison WI. Both were along the lines of 7 to 9 K.
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
Continuum by John Mayer. Its the first that comes to mind.
