I started playing guitar when I was about twelve, but, I think I've been a musician my whole life. I can remember writting songs in my head being a little kid. I've always loved creating melodies, I just didn't know how to get the music from my head to someone elses ears.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
The first concert I went to was Three Doors Down. I got kicked out for underage smoking ;) The show was good, Tantric opened for them and rocked the place!
What gear do you use?
I've had a lot of guitars over the years. I'm a huge fan of Gibson and PRS when it comes to electric. Brands aren't really a huge deal though, I've played guitars that cost 12 grand that sound like s#*T and 200 dollar guitars that sound amazing. Sometimes you just get lucky. I always end up getting rid of the electrics when i need some extra cash though lol. As far as acoustic, Taylor all the way. My go to guitar though has always been my Hohner. It's the first guitar I ever played, made in the 70's and I think she sounds great! Most of my songs, if not all were written on it and i don't think I'll ever get rid of it.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
My biggest influences have always been family members. I was born iton a travelling gypsy band of sorts. We're all a bunch of artists, pirates, and social misfits. But my biggest influence was definately my dad. We always had musicians coming over when i was young. I remember being in bars, long before i was old enough to drink and watchin him and my mom play. I always had a fondness for the music that was way before my time, probably because of my parents, so as far as other influences I'd have to say anything from the late sixties, early seventies...
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I'm not in a band now, but, I've sang in a few when i was younger. Mainly punk and metal. I can scream baby lol.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Probably Hendrix, but only because he's dead. It would just be freaky to jam with a dead guy.
