I was 5 years old when I discovered singing. I've been singing ever since. Started recording in 2009.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
My first real concert that wasn't a cover band was John Mayer in the summer of 2010 during his Battle Studies tour.
What gear do you use?
I trust Shure to get the job done right. I have yet to experiment or use other makes and models.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
My family always listened to Classic Rock. I was mostly influenced by The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd. But I don't stick to just those three, as you can tell from my long list of influences.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Starting in 2009, I tried joining a band with a friend of mine. I was a shrimp in comparison in both size and experience. It didn't survive. But I got back into the swing of things in 2011. I made my own band from people I'd met during a fundraiser I helped organize, and performed at, called Sonar2voice. They are all extremely talented individuals who I wouldn't be able to create music without.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
I would absolutely love to rock on stage with Pink Floyd, Imelda May, or Lady Gaga!
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
The largest auidence I have ever performed to was about 1600 people at once. Plus it was recorded for the rest of the world to see. That was nerve wracking, but it's such an accomplishment. The smallest group had to be about 20 people at an open mic cafe.
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
I would never be able to decide this. Are you kidding! Can I bring an ipod instead?
