How long have you been playing?
For starters, I have always been a music lover. I took drum lessons in the seventh grade and I learned how to read music. In high school I joined drumline and was deemed one of the best by the second semester of my freshman year. I picked up guitar after I learned drums and found I was able to play it as well. Soon after, I wrote my first song and discovered my love for singing. I have made it a goal to never stop improving. I am about to release my debut album, "More Than A Melody." I played all the instruments, did all of the singing including the harmonies and ad-libs.
For as long as I could remember I have always wanted to be a singer and musician. God gave me my dream talent. :)

What was the first concert you ever went to?
Haha wow, I have been to so many concerts but my first was definitely distinct. At the time I lived in Phoenix, and I was living with my best friend. We discovered a local concert on St. Patrick's Day and decided to go because tickets were only $15. And there were a lot of bands there! The only ones I remember are The Rising, Blue October, and Barenaked Ladies. It was also great because we were in the very front the entire time. It was a great first concert. :)
What gear do you use?
My go-to acoustic is definitely my Taylor. I love the deepness and richness of it and it matches my style perfectly. As for electric, I really like Schecter and Dean. The only microphones I will use are the ones made by Shure. They sound the best by far, and they're incredibly durable.
If I plan on playing a show, all I bring is a microphone and my Taylor. I really enjoy acoustic sets. :)

What are you looking for from Fandalism?
I really want more exposure, and it would be great to get attention on here that I haven't gotten anywhere else. And I'm trying to get my music out to a wider audience as well, so I'm up for some diversity when it comes to sites where I can promote my music.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
When I was younger I had a few select artists that I liked but now my taste in music has immensely widened. I always liked Avril Lavigne growing up, and I still do even though I sound nothing like her. Recently I have been very inspired by Ellie Goulding. I love her style and her uniqueness!
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
As of right now, I'm still pursuing my passion as a solo artist. I have, however, bee in a few bands in the past and in each one I did something different. Around 2007 I played rhythm guitar for a band that stemmed from my church's worship team. In 2009, I sang harmony in a Christian rock band called Jericho 7th, but I dropped it because it was interfering with me writing my own music and I wasn't able to focus on that as much as I wanted. In early 2012 I was asked to drum for a local band until the singer's brother was able to return to the position. And yes, all of these bands played shows. I still play solo shows when I can. :)
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
I would absolutely love to sing with Ellie Goulding. I am amazed at her enormous range and she has a very unique voice. I respect her for never conforming to any other artists because I strive for that as well. And I think two very talented and unique artists would make a great team.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
Well, to make a long story short I have played for audiences as small as 4 or 5 people, and as big as 2 or 300. I was in a singing competition in 2012 and I believe there were about 100 people or so there. But one of my performances was also aired on a local radio station and there's no telling how many people heard that. That's different from actually seeing someone's live performance, though... obviously.
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
I would probably go for Red's "Until We Have Faces" or "Halcyon" by Ellie Goulding. Red has some very uplifting songs that I think would cause me to think more positively about being stuck somewhere, haha. Ellie's however is very diverse, and no two songs are the same. I don't know that that album could fit into one genre. I would definitely never get bored with it. But both are phenomenal albums that I fell in love with the moment they were released. I don't think I can choose between the two, haha.
