Benny Goodman with Gene Krupa, Elvis with DJ Fontana, Booker T and the MGs with Al Jack jr., and then OF COURSE, Beatles and Ringo!! THEN I discovered prog rock and jazz fusion!!

I am in bands, have been in bands since I was 9, still LOVE playing in bands, and continue to do over a hundred gigs a year....

Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, Todd Rundgren. If I don't LOVE the music, I seriously don't care about the caliber of the musicians involved...for instance...not a big fan of Journey or Rush even tho I respect their skills....BUT, if I LOVE the music, like the music of Joni, Todd, or Stevie, THAT's when I feel like I am a part of something real.....

The East/West game at Stanford for was the biggest audience, (60,000) and televised. Daddy-O (of which I am still a member of) and Johnny Baron assembled the largest cast of Elvis entertainers to ever perform 'live'.....as for the smallest? Easy...The president of A&R, Capitol Records in L.A.. That was a one-person audience and the MOST nervous I have ever been!

The first Group 87 album. It is achingly beautiful and cool at the same time. And since it has no vocals I could make up words and sing over the top of it!!
