How long have you been playing?
Was a keen youngster - Now enjoying a rebirth in enthuasiasm with daughters, friends and computers!
What was the first concert you ever went to?
1985ish FM the Sheffield rockers at Cardiff Uni. Memorable moments were drinking cans of warm Colt45 lager from Londis on the train, jumping up and down at the front and still having change for two shillings. These boys are still playing and touring which goes to show you're never too old.
What gear do you use?
Strat copy, daughter's bass if and when needed, Shure mikes, apple drum loops and GarageBand.
What are you looking for from Fandalism?
Want to increase the number of people who listen to my tunes and check out other bands etc. from further affield. Have always had an affinity to alternative american rock which seems quite exotic to my Welsh ears.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Loved the Manics as they are also from Wales, of a similar age and also a similar taste in music/culture/politics etc. You can take the boy from the Valleys etc.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Inaugural rehearsal held September 29th and fruits of an afternoons labour below in our cover of Blink 182's All The Small Things - audio and video. More to follow in coming months. Expect noisy covers of alternative, indie and punk classics initially.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Slash - could show me some great guitar licks, though would need to be a very patient teacher.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
Have performed as a youngster with some excellent orchestras to 1000+.Also played Jazz to smaller crowds (Thanks dad for turning up!)
Have screamed Karaoke at a couple of dozen, crawled on the floor like Iggy Pop and been chased down the street by an angry mob.
Stop press. Have now played guitar no less with Lauren in Brighton to approx 300 people! Must emphasise that Lauren was the star and I the accompaniment.

You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
Give this one a good thought and probably would choose Wasted in America-Love/Hate. Yeah, I know everyone's fave is "Black out", but myself and current band member Dave drove across the US in summer 92 and this was part of the soundtrack. Even went to a place in the desert called Yucca. Always wondered if their "Yucca man" with his anacondas was from this little place in the middle of the desert.
