I was around 10 years old when my dad bought me an acoustic guitar in 1976. Then I heard Kiss for the first time and I begged my father to buy me an electric guitar. So he did ! A real crappy one and an even more crappy amplifier, laughs ! I bought my first so called real electric guitar and amplifier at an age of 16 from one of my first salarys. So now I guess Iv been playing guitar for about 35 years.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
I didnt attend so many concerts in my youth. I listened more to my record collection and stole a lick here and there. Of course Ive been to concerts later on. Sometimes I regret that i didnt get to see more bands than I did.
What gear do you use?
I have 3 electric guitars. 2 alder warmoth strats with klein pickups and a mahogany strat with a warmoth neck. The pickups I use on it is 2 fender fat 50s and a Dimarzio virtual hot pro in the bridge. I also have a Marshall YJM 100 head and a marshall 212 cabinet with 2 celestion G12T. Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Kiss and Thin Lizzy, Rod Stewart, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and many more and later on I started to listen to the british blues with musicians like Clapton, Peter Green and Mick Taylor, Jeff Beck and of course Jimi Hendrix. The songs they did especially in the late sixties and all of the seventies stands out among the others. Its hard to do something that hasnt already been done. Therefore I cover all my greats instead of doing own music. I have also been listening much to fusion rock. Lets face it. I was born in sweden and here in sweden you cant live on your music if you dont play dance music and I rather starve to death than to play that, laughs !!
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I have a band that we call Retro Band and we play classic rock from the later part of the 60s and all of the 70s. We. even play some tracks from the 80s god forgive :)
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
