"Magical Music Box" an original instrumental by Yvalain Another piece of my "analog 4 tracks recordings". All guitars by Yvalain The middle part is a from real music box that I listened when I was a kid in my grand-parents's home. Full of remembrance to me: sounds, perfume, the music of their voices. When I created that music I had the idea in insert it in the middle, a little tribute to those who loved me and especially to my grand father who was the first to tell me that I had a great value. The issue (idea of Markus) of this track is a musical impression/expression of the physical and atmospheric change of sea waves from quiet to nervously moving and breaking wild “A calm see is getting wild ” could be the title as well. The first part of the track sounds peaceful with floating synthesizers, nature sounds and legato cello’s. Only the acoustic guitar is a bit restless and announces an upcoming tension. The sequencer is the start for more agitation, rising to top at the cut in of the drums. It ends in chaos and returning rest. In respect for the beautiful work of Markus’ synthesizers track I took care not to kill the fine texture by too much guitar. I left space to breath, looking for the right moments to cut in, both for the lead guitar and for the opposite harmonized guitar, which fills in the suspense element for the music together with the staccato cello sequences in the second part of the track. I did this blues jam today.15-12-12 Its a kinda pop blues cross over. Did some overdubbing. This consists of about four separate guitar tracks all of which I composed . Please tell me what you think. Yvalain - VOYAGER (the complete music) I played guitars, bass, programmed digital devices. Emmanuel, my son, played bass on the final part Franck Simonneau played an electric guitar solo on the final part I also used some samples I composed that music in 1993 and it took me 1 month to record all the parts on a 4 tracks K7 recorder. Everything was done with guitars. I'll post that original demo one of these days because it's nice to listen, despite some little mistakes dur to the recording conditions. I remade that music in 2008. It took me 9 months to complete it. I used a very small PC at that time. Why did it take so long? Because I had many doubts so I stopped to work on it, at the level of the Middle part (the spanish mood). But, fortunately I could terminate the work later on. I made a global remastering in 2012 on my iMac. Unfortunately I could not remix it, to win some better clarity and dynamic because I don't use the same platform anymore.
