I come from a very musical family. My father played the violin, harmonica, accordian, guitar and flute. My sisters played guitar and we all sang. I began singing at age 7 in a production at school. Joined the Lyric Theatre in Ajax, Ontario and played a roll in Cinderella. I also sang in several church choirs in Ontario. Today I enjoy singing with my husband Gary Parsons and am working on a new CD which we hope to have released this year.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Joined a small choir in Ottawa and learned a great deal from Ellen MacIsaac. She has incredible vocals and I always looked up to her. We had great fun with four of us singing 4 part harmonies and released a Gospel CD with some of our favorite songs to help raise money for the local church. It was a great experience and some of the best musicians I have ever played with.
