My first band at 17 was the Sensational Sebhoroeic Seven a punk piss take. We did one gig and got arrested for disturbing the peace. My next foray into live music with a folk rock band playing pubs and clubs around Peterborough in the early 90's, stage fright got the better of me and I retired from public life. I was 41 and a half when the demons inside my head suggested I should return to playing live rather than on the sofa at home
What was the first concert you ever went to?
1976 a band called Orthi whose bass player went on to join Marrillion. I have enjoyed hating Pete Trewawas ever since as I had a girl friend when I went to the gig and didn't when I left. She ran off with the bass player. Same old story.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, Simon and Garfunkle, Cat Stevens.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
The biggest audience was in France our band was playing for the opening of a multiplex cinema, Or St patricks day at O'neils. The smallest gig was a solo gig playing to a young mum her baby and a dog in a pub on Eastfield Road
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
Van Morrisons greatest hits
