I started playing in all seriousness at about 19 years old. The Beatles and The Steve Miller Band made me want to play with synthesizers and samplers.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
It was Willie Nelson at the Cattle Congress in Waterloo Iowa. I went with my parents and my Uncle Boone, 20 years later I went and saw Willie again with my Uncle in the exact same enue.
What gear do you use?
Roland XP-50 Music Workstation, Roland JP8000, AKAI S20, Tape Decks, Roland Cube 60, Epiphone Special 2, some old bass, various crap. Fruity Loops 10, Reason 2.0, Audition 3.0, various other tape decks and crap.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
The Beatles and The Steve Miller Band. My parents had their records and that's how I got into them.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I've been in Lintscreen (Zero/Fill, EightFoldPath) Smakdab, Eddie Buzzard, Experimental Mind Therapy, Talbot's Curse and Microwaved is my full time project. Everything from Industrial to metal and Industrial again. I do play shows, when I can.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
John Lennon, I would love to work with him and see how he writes and to experiment with him.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
The biggest audience was probably Dotfest II in Des Moines Iowa. The smallest, me and the bartenders at The Reverb in Cedar Falls Iowa. My most memorable performance was touring with Hate Dept.
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
That is a nearly impossible question to answer. That's like asking you to pick your favorite child. I'll take the fifth on this one but say that albums by The Beatles, Skinny Puppy, Hate Dept., The Rolling Stones, Lenny Kravitz, Soul Coughing, Jellyfish, Love & Rockets, Depeche Mode, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Prince, Godflesh, The Cure and John Lee Hooker would all be in there.
