ive been a lyricist for almost 30 years,and have been playing guitar and harmonica for around 4 years,also play a little drums and percussion.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
paul weller,caird hall dundee,was great to see one of my heroes performing a few yards away from me.
What gear do you use?
i use quite a few accoustic guitars,tanglewood,washburn,and an old brunswick,also have an epiphone casino which is my favourite guitar,a set of hohner bluesman harmonicas,and a savvanah mandolin which im learning,and percussion instruments lying around my home studio.
What are you looking for from Fandalism?
for my journey as a songwriter to be noticed around the world.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
id say bob dylan and johnny cash,along with bo diddly with the latter being because my joiner father made a rectangle shape guitar,and i would strum along on it while listening to the radio in his partitioned off workshop in his bedroom.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
not presently in a band,but thats my plan for the future,i have participated in the occassional open mic,but my vocals arent very good i must admit.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
it would have to be ray davies from the kinks,as hes 1 of my fave songwriters.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
id say around 40 to 50 at an open mic night....nervous but i got through it.
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
it would have to be the travelling wilburys,what an excellent mix of talented musicians.
