How long have you been playing?
I began playing drums at the age of 12, in June 1988. This June will mark 25 years of playing drums for me. I played my first 4 hour gig within 2 months of sitting behind a drumkit for the first time. My 21st birthday wasn't a big deal for me, since I had been playing in bars since I was 12. I became a musician because my dad is a musician (guitarist). I used to go to his gigs as a young boy. I loved to sit there and watch each musician play their instrument. I would eventually fall asleep behind the guitar amps.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
Haha! I'm going to be honest. The first concert I ever went to was Cyndi Lauper's "Fun Tour" on October 2, 1984. I went with my dad, mom, and sister. I was so impressed with the lights and sound. I left that concert thinking what I think of after every concert I go to now, "I wish that was me behind those drums!"

Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
My biggest musical influence growing up was Rush. I first saw them in concert on January 18, 1992 on the Roll the Bones tour. My next door neighbor had an extra ticket, so I decided to go. I had heard their drummer was really good. The rest is history. I have been to every tour after that.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I have played in many bands, and have hundreds of hours of stage experience. I can play many different styles of music.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
This is easy. Just take a look over at the musicians I listed as influences. There are many others that aren't on that list though. I wouldn't play any different if I got the opportunity to play with those listed, as I do with my local musician friends.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
My most notable performances that had audiences in the hundreds to several thousands are: Tejano Music Awards Fan Fare (San Antonio, TX), New Mexico Hispanic Music Awards (Albuquerque, NM), Whole Enchilada Fiesta -Main Stage and parade (Las Cruces, NM), Club Crawl (Tucson, AZ)
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
This question is not fair!
