I was 10 years old when my dad bought me my first guitar.....that gives me almost 20 years playing, then I realized that I loved to sing a few years later and found that this was my true passion.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
The first show I ever remember was to see Ricky Skaggs in Prestonsburg KY....I don't remember the year but I was with my dad and it gave me a life long love for bluegrass and Mtn. music
What gear do you use?
For my acoustic sets I use a Takamine G340 thats a little beat up but its mine....and I have a 2010 Honeyburst Les Paul Standard and I run it through a Line-6 Spider Valve tube combo.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
As far as singing goes I have to say that Gregg Allman was the first person I heard that made me believe every word he sang,,,,,,that also made me never forget him and always try to make an audience believe me.....for guitar players I have to say that everyone from Roy Clark and Tommy Emanuel to SRV and Eric Clapton.......but now I still have the bluegrass roots and Country love too so I like Clay Jones and Roger Coleman (Justin Moore)
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I am in a band and have been in several as the lead guitarist and the singer but I also do a ton of acoustic shows too.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Tommy Emanuel......he's the best acoustic player to ever live and SRV cause he's the best guitar player who ever live ....and Hank Garland just cause he was the first guy to do a lot of things with a guitar
