When i was 5 I randomly stood up in little school and sung most of The Kinks - you really got me' so from then it was obvious music such as rock n roll etc was in the blood....I learnt the piano the minute i could by ear and then moved onto the guitar when i was in my early twenties...I self taught myself the guitar and have been playing properly for the last two years and singing with my chums April, Chris and Bonnie.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
The toots and maytals.....awesome, was buzzing alnight!!!
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Loved Janis Joplin because her vocals, lyrics and music was and still is amazing. This also goes for Jimi Hendrix...my dad listened to all that type of music including cream, the doors, the animals..its goes on and on. I also love doo wop music as this period of time was just lovely and the music so simple but effective.
I have always LOVED accapella music...just beautiful harmonies and lyrics. Again, so simple yet effective.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I met my chums through other friends. My friend was in the bath,...i picked up guitar and began playing....we discussed our common hobby (playing music) and the rest is history.....
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
It would have to be........ok this is a hard one as there are many!! Janis Joplin...Ike and Tina Turner...Jimi Hendrix....James Brown.......ohhhhh it goes on!!!
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
My School......500 people (doo wop and piano) and an audience in London and I have no idea how many there as it was outside....
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
One of my own homemade cds as it would have abit of everything...
