"No Regrets" This song was on the CD "Solo" but this version was from some demos I was making at the time while writing material for the CD. Sometimes you go back and start liking the demos better than what ends up on the CD. This would be one of those times.

"Error of My Ways" I'd forgotten I had recorded this demo for this song some time ago. I checked my recorder's hard drive and found a number of songs I'd written and worked on. Fun song to do live with it's big band feel...maybe some day with a horn section.

"Too Few Like You" A song in an age of virtual friends about the real flesh and blood kind. The kind that are really there for you and always got your back.

"That's What You Say" a new song as of late July 2012. I was watching an old "Larry Sanders Show" with Clint Black as a guest and he introduced a new song he'd just written with Merle Haggard. I loved the feel and simplicity and as usual wrote my own.

"Angelina" A song written about the secret, the forbidden, ultimately irresistible and costly...

"Hey Sally" written by Larry Jensen featuring rag time, finger picking, acoustic guitar style. Recorded in my back yard studio on a blistering hot evening on July 16 2012. Many takes as the heat made my fingers stick to the strings and lyrics played hide and seek.

"The Day my Baby Said Goodbye".This is sitting on the front porch jamming with friends of mine from the States. We invite these great folks up and when it's possible they all show up for a week-end we call "Swan Jam"... This is a jazzy bluesy thing of mine I just started chuckin' on and Joy (Fiddlerina) soon picked up the jist.

"I Remember"... It took me over a year before I could write a song that had anything to do with 9/11. It's about someone killed in the towers and there picture and story perhaps being posted in a "Small Town America" newspaper. A boyfriend from her past sees it and remembers her. This Song features the beautiful, talented and good friend, Keira McArthur on cello.

"Agent of the Road" I was accompanied on this session by Deborah Donovan (Harmony vocals), Stan Gadziola (Harmonica, lead guitar, Fender '62 Jazzmaster), Steve Auld (Rhythm, Gibson 335) Niel Raynsford (Drums)... I played slide acoustic and lead vocals.Recorded on "Song House"

"Do You Know Where Your Children Are"? Inspired after reading an article on a runaway girl who went missing on New Years Eve in the early nineties. The song was also based on a TV campaign using the phrase "Do you know where your children are"? Actually it was a line of text that would run across the bottom of the screen that read, "It's eleven o'clock do you know where your children are"? I recorded it on an album called "Song House".

I've written numerous songs about my complicated relationship with my dad. He's a character and a very funny guy and was a raging alcoholic. I've developed a guilt complex as many children of alcoholics do. He's doing well in a nursing home and quite sober now and I feel responsible for that as if it's a bad thing. Like I said complicated.

"Wolf at Your Door" Written as part of a collection of songs for a play called "Here Today Gone This Afternoon" dealing with unemployment and the affect it has on families...

Bended Knee... As the youtube description says...A few days before arriving, the news media began to carry news of an explosion and that 11 men were killed and there was an oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico... To say the least it became something more. After arriving back home in Canada, we gathered up our home movie footage and some of Katherine's exquisite photos and I wrote some words and music .

"Show Me Where It Hurts" is from an album called "Songhouse". All guitar, bass and vocal parts played by me. The masterful drums played by Niel Raynsford.

From an Album called "Bad Luck and Trouble" recorded live off the studio floor with keyboards by Rob (Mr. Bob) McLean and a studio cat bassist named Pete. I played acoustic and vocals.

"Empty Well" This is a brand new recording of a song that's been sitting on the shelf for a few years. I started the session not knowing how to approach it really. I enjoyed the process of trial and error and went at it on this rainy Sunday with lots of patience and happy to be engaged in my music...

New Song

A friend recently informed me she was deleting her face book account because of some abusive type behavior of some people in her network. After a beautiful discription of her life as she sees it, she said goodbye to us all. As so many did, I responded with regret and condemnation of the perpetrators. I finished by saying, " at the end of the day there's too few like you"... The line just came out of nowhere and I went to my studio wrote and recorded this song. Too Few Like You.

Chicken Wings...A young film maker from my home town was making a documentary film about an evening out in hot pursuit of the best chicken wings available. He approached me for a theme song and this is what he got... I write songs for films and events and situations... For hire.

Facefingers (Larry Jensen) I composed and recorded this little instrumental in my store one Sunday afternoon. I then went upstairs where my friend had a video camera and some software. He later presented me with a DVD. I had to convert that with a free trial version software program that placed a watermark at regular intervals. I then took that file to my editing software and edited out the watermarks at 22 or so edit points with jpeg stills...It's all rather messy. I'll try again if I buy the DVD conversion program. It's called Movavi Converter 8. It was easy to use and costs $30.00 something CAD.
