How long have you been playing?
I was attracted to music since I was a little kid. I taught myself how to play an electric organ, in school I took up alto sax and moved on to tenor sax. I learned how to read music and eventually learned guitar and music theory. I gave up the alto/tenor sax for guitar. In 1998 after playing in bands I decided I wanted to make music on my own. I discovered midi and electronic music and I have been making music with a computer ever since.
What gear do you use?
Ibanez RG 7 string guitar, live recordings Boss digital recorder, ACID mixing software, FL7, FL10, Behringer midi keyboard last a huge collection of sound samples from 1998 to present. Live set Behringer 800 watt PA system, Axle 300 watt guitar amp, Digi tech guitar fx, and last my favorite instrument above all else is my heart and ears. It does not matter what gear you have or how much it cost. What matters is what you the musician does with what you have.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Godflesh, Pitchshifter, Aphex Twin, Nine Inch Nails, and there are so many more. The four I mentioned had a huge influence on me because of the sound. I loved how they used a computer, or a sampler to make their music. It was different and I loved the sound especially when live vocals, live guitar, liver drums, and live bass were included. When you put it all together you get something different that is unique. That is what I loved about the sound and I myself decided to do something unique with my own music because of these influences.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Current solo project is called Kåra which features a blending of electronic, dubstep, drum & bass. LetterstotheDevil - industrial rock metal electronic. Right now the project has been put on hold. Getting shows in this area for our type of music forget it. In the future we intend on moving to a area suited for our sound and style.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Trent Reznor would be the one. He has done amazing things with music and I would enjoy learning from him.
