How long have you been playing?
I've been singing my whole life, my earliest memory is one of an early grade school duet with another girl of "My Favorite Things" from The Sound Of Music. I wrote my first song when I was around 5 years old...an ode to turkey. Go figure, the interests of a 5 year old, eh? Mother was an opera star at New York City Opera, so I grew up listening to classical music, jazz, folk, broadway and then I discovered rock (mom was not pleased). I really got into songwriting while living on the Bowery during the heyday of CBGB's and it's gone on from there. Was fortunate enough to take vocal lessons from Katie Agresta, who saved my voice.
Took time off to "find myself" and have discovered I can't leave music behind. So here we go again.

What was the first concert you ever went to?
BB King at the Palladium in NYC in the '70's, his guitar Lucile was singing. What a show, and I believe that Robert Palmer opened, what a treat.
What gear do you use?
Epiphone Crestwood electric guitar, Guild D-25
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
I can't say that there was just one main influence, I have broad tastes and I think it all feeds in really...so just for starters...Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, the Who, Yes, Judy Collins, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Neal Young, the Pretenders, Annie Lennox (The Eurythmics), Blondie, The Cars, Tod Rungren, Nick Lowe, many others.
I either heard music on the radio (there used to be great FM stations that played incredible artists, don't get me started about radio these days) or I was introduced to something cool by friends. Still digging around to find great stuff these days, off the chart stuff, unsigned and independents.

Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Currently working on a solo project with some great musicians here in the Boston area and recording. Almost done with 3 new songs for EP release. Shows are in the works.
Formed The Hunt back in the day (met my collaborator, Dalton Portella, on the street while I was vending Italian Ices in NYC).
Recently put together Tall Enough in 2010, here in the Boston area, (it's recently disbanded, although it was short lived it was fun).

You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
