I'm 24 years-old, and started playing at 14. My dad taught me my first 3 chords, and never looked back.
Having played with artists in all genres, music stays interesting and my love for it grows exponentially by the minute. Message me if you wanna know more!
What was the first concert you ever went to?
It would have to be Dream Theater's 2004 Train of Thought Tour, at the Riviera Theater in Chicago, IL. My dad, brother, two close friend, and myself, attended. The most memorable part of the show would have to be the fact that they really do play as perfect live as they do on the records!
What gear do you use?
I currently use a Fractal Audio Axe Fx 2 for my amps and effects, a Music Man John Petrucci Signature guitar, and a Fender Telecaster.
My favorites are my Axe Fx 2 and the Petrucci.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Van Halen, Dream Theater, Yes, and Genesis. With the exception of Dream Theater (who I miraculously discovered channel surfing on the tv), my dad got me into most classic rock and prog rock bands.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Yes! I'm lead guitarist with Nashville Country artist Corey Cox. We met in late 2009 and joined the group August of 2010.
We play lots of shows!
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Dream Theater, Periphery, and Chick Corea, because they are the epitome of eternal awesome.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
Biggest was 20,000+ at the 2010 Superbowl Village in Indianapolis. Smallest was at a house party back in high school, for 10 people, haha.
Most memorable was playing for a sold-out crowd before Sugarland at Bankers Life Fieldhouse (formerly Conseco Fieldhouse.) They came back to honor the victims of the Indiana State Fair stage collapse, for which they were scheduled to play. The outpouring of love and music made this the best moment in my music career.
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
I'd be dead, because I'd have to take more than one for proper survival.
