When I was only 6 years old, I would watch my Uncle Earl Burton play old timey Gospel and Country songs and sing. It was a rare treat when my Grandfather would play his Violin. (My Grandfather is Admiral Dewey Jones...he played with Bob Wills & the Texas Playboys and played the Grand Ole Opry on a few different occasions) His Sons, Dewey Jr., David and Joe all toured with a lot of different Country Artists which included Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Lefty Frizzell, Faron Young, Marty Robbins and Merle Haggard. I asked for a Guitar when I was 9 so my Dad & Mom bought me one for Christmas that year...a Victoria Black Red Sunburst Gretsch type solid body...I was on top of the World.

I actually owned the 54 Tele Blackguard Serial # 0045. I've owned 60's Strats one is Shoreline Gold. A 69 Blackie and a 70's 3 screw neck plate in Natural. Currently I'm playing on a Custom Built Strat in Cimarron Red, a Custom Built Black Strat and I'm currently building a Custom Strat that will be finished in Daphne Blue...I also own a 57 Re-Issue in Sea Foam Green and a Jeff Beck Model in Cerulean Blue...I have a 73 Les Paul Custom in Cherry Burst and a 69 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty.

I am currently using the Bogner Line6 Valve amplification through a stack of Vintage Jackson 4-12s.

I use the BOSS ME-50 for a floor pedal and the Rack Mounted ART SGX-2000 Express.

Pink Floyd I would have to say...my dear old friend R.J. Cobb from Stageline and RJ & Associates...in a conversation one day, he said that my playing was going into an esoteric direction and that I needed to expand my musical listening...

My earlier influences were Montrose, Zeppelin, Sabbath and Foghat...My dear old friend Henry Rabago, Eugene Martin and Richard Gibson were all in a band called Rainbow back in the day and they were...and are still...one of the BEST LIVE Rock bands that I've ever seen...I was influenced by a lot of Rainbow's music when I was a young teenager.

Various members in and out...one of which was Scott Warren from DIO, "Heaven n Hell", Warrant, Type O Negative and who knows what he's doing now.
