What was the first concert you ever went to?
I went to my first live concert at 17. I saw Sarah Chang play the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto.
What gear do you use?
Strad copy. 200 years old. I hope to play the Sibelius, Phillip Glass and Shostakovich violin concertos someday.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Anne-Sophie Mutter. She's my favorite violinist to this day. Her vibrato and control of it, imo, was unique and the best. I learn about her because a radio DJ sent me a free CD of her playing the Sibelius.
