What gear do you use?
ibanez, danelectro,yamaha, guitars
spector, gibson bass
Home made/ alesis e-drums (triggers)
focusrite preamps, sonar x1, various plugins, mxl ribbon mic, various other mics
l5 amp
metal zone pedal (actually pretty versatile for me turn down the gain)
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
beach boys most of my life, cause they got some cool harmonies and arangements, beatles obvious reasons (and if you think they are overrated I will fight you) The cure cool arangements and emotion, bass takes a melodic center stage type of feel.
The problem I have is that I hear little bits of every musician or band ever in every thing I hear. That is how I know if one of my songs is decent, if it reminds me of something I have heard before, crap I dunno.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
not now, have been most of my life though.
wait I play with my brother sometimes. Does that count?
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
I hate jamming. I would rather write songs. maybe danny elfman or brian wilson. Most of these artist seem like they would be hard to get along with.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
couple hundred I gues, smallest prolly just the band and bartenders!
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
pet sounds by the beach boys or oh inverted world by the shins.
