One of my guitarist friends asked me a few days ago if I would be interested in covering "Songbird", a song by rock band Fleetwood Mac which was featured on their album Rumours in 1977 and written by Christine McVie. I found this song very pretty and I really enjoyed Mark's instrumental version too. I decided to ask my friend Patrice to join us. I hope you will enjoy this new collaboration. Christine McVie is a British songwriter and performer, she is also a keyboardist and she was a member of Fleetwood Mc from 1970 to 1998. She joined the group again very recently in 2014. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. FAIR USE ONLY. LYRICS : For you, there'll be no more crying For you, the sun will be shining Because I feel that when I'm with you, It's alright, I know it's right. To you, I'll give the world To you, I'll never be cold Because I feel that when I'm with you, It's alright, I know it's right And the songbirds are singing, like they know the score And I love you, I love you, I love you, like never before And I wish you all the love in the world. Oh, but most of all, I wish it from myself. And the songbirds keep singing, like they knew the score And I love you, I love you, I love you Like never before, like never before, like never before.

I was contacted three days ago by a young man on Facebook who asked me if I would be interested in singing a very recent song he had remixed. He sent me the link, I listened to this song which I had never heard before and I liked it right away. So I accepted. And so here is the fruit of this new collaboration with this young Moroccan man (https://soundcloud.com/ahmed-nakrati). I hope that you will enjoy our work on this song. "A Sky Full of Stars" is a song recorded by British alternative rock band Coldplay, released on 2 May 2014 as the 2nd single from their 6th studio album, Ghost Stories (2014). The band co-wrote and co-produced the song with Swedish DJ/producer Avicii. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. FAIR USE ONLY. LYRICS: 'Cause you're a sky, cause you're a sky full of stars I'm gonna give you my heart 'Cause you're a sky, cause you're a sky full of stars 'Cause you light up the path I don't care, go on and tear me apart I don't care if you do 'Cause in a sky, cause in a sky full of stars I think I saw you 'Cause you're a sky, cause you're a sky full of stars I want to die in your arms, arms 'Cause you get lighter the more it gets dark I'm gonna give you my heart And I don't care, go on and tear me apart And I don't care if you do 'Cause in a sky, cause in a sky full of stars I think I see you I think I see you Because you're a sky, you're a sky full of stars Such a heavenly view You're such a heavenly view

Dear Friends Here's a new instrumental attempt with my keyboard : in the "Funk" genre. Funk is a form of African-American music which originated in the United States in the late 1950s and developed during the 1960s and 1970s. You will hear my work on the backing track from 0:13 onwards; I play here brass instruments with both hands. The drums are played by the keyboard. Thank you for listening.

My friend JC Binetti asked me the other day if I would be interested in singing "Le Pont Mirabeau", a poem by Guillaume Apollinaire. When I heard the beautiful melody composed by JC to illustrate this great poem, I did not hesitate. Guillaume Apollinaire (1880-1918) was a French poet and writer of Polish origin. He is considered one of the most influential French poets of the early 20th century. This poem Le Pont Mirabeau is from his collection entitled Alcools (1913). For a while Apollinaire practiced the art of calligramme, poems written in the form of drawings (you can find two examples at the end of the video). He is considered a major precursor of surrealism, whose name he coined. Apollinaire is one of my favorite poets, along with Baudelaire, Verlaine and Rimbaud. Why the title Alcools (Spirits) ? Because the poet distills his verses into a poetry book just like a wine-grower distills spirits. You can hear JC's version by clicking here : https://soundcloud.com/binetti PAROLES: Le Pont Mirabeau Sous le pont Mirabeau coule la Seine Et nos amours Faut-il qu'il m'en souvienne La joie venait toujours après la peine Vienne la nuit sonne l'heure Les jours s'en vont je demeure Les mains dans les mains restons face à face Tandis que sous Le pont de nos bras passe Des éternels regards l'onde si lasse Vienne la nuit sonne l'heure Les jours s'en vont je demeure L'amour s'en va comme cette eau courante L'amour s'en va Comme la vie est lente Et comme l'Espérance est violente Vienne la nuit sonne l'heure Les jours s'en vont je demeure Passent les jours et passent les semaines Ni temps passé Ni les amours reviennent Sous le pont Mirabeau coule la Seine Vienne la nuit sonne l'heure Les jours s'en vont je demeure "Le Pont Mirabeau" Apollinaire, Alcools (1912)

Hi everyone ! Here's another instrumental track which I called « Bass and Sax ». I am playing the bass (left hand) and the tenor sax (right hand). The keyboard is playing the piano and the drums. I guess it is what you would call free jazz... very free again... A little surprise at the end ^^ Thanks for listening.

This is my cover of « N'espère pas » by Suzy Solidor (album N'espère pas 1933-1939). Suzy Solidor (1900-1983) was a French singer, actress and novelist. An emblematic figure of the 1930s, her boyish look helped her popularize among the general public the Parisian gay scene in the "Roaring Twenties" ; some of her songs talked about lesbian love (eg. Ouvre, Obsession, etc.). For your information, I am heterosexual, but my mind and heart are open to differences. Thank you for listening. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. FAIR USE ONLY.

Hi Everyone ! Two friends of mine have told me in the last 6 months that I should buy a keyboard. But since I can’t read music and do everything by ear I really didn’t think I could ever do anything with one. And then a week ago a third person told me the same thing… So I decided to go check out the keyboards at a big music store in Paris. They had a lot of them. I chose one and started playing at the store… I played for almost 45 minutes non stop using a great backing track… I had such a great time; I couldn’t believe it. I was deeply moved by the whole experience. This video is my third attempt (2 at the store on two different days). Thanks for listening. PS : the sound isn’t great because I purchased my keyboard this afternoon and I still haven’t figured out how to record myself with it. So I used my webcam here.

I was looking for a Latin song to sing yesterday morning and I opted for « Moi Je Suis Tango Tango » sung by Guy Marchand in 1975. I thought it would be interesting to come up with the female version of it. The tempo errors aren't errors... This is just my rock n 'roll or wacko wacko version (new genre?) of this tango tango song... ^^ Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. Guy Marchand, born Emile Guy Marchand on May 22, 1937 in Paris, is a French actor, singer and musician. As a pianist, saxophonist and clarinetist, he plays jazz, blues and tango. I visited my French friend, Jean-Chris Binetti, on Fandalism a few days ago and I asked him if he would let me cover a song written and composed by him and entitled "Ensemble » (Together); it's a very pretty song. JC was kind enough to say yes; So here is my cover. You can listen to JC's version by clicking here: http://fandalism.com/jcbinetti/dbIg. Thank you for listening.

This song is a "guajira", that is to say, a slow Cuban song, composed in 1928 by José Fernández Díaz, aka Joseíto Fernández, and partly based on a poem by José Martí. Regarded as the best known Cuban song, it is also one of the most covered songs in the world. It also turns out that it is the 300th video posted by me. Here is my rendition of "Lullaby of Birdland", a song composed in 1952 by George Shearing. The lyrics are credited to B.Y . Forster, aka George David Weiss. The title is dedicated to "Bird" (Charlie Parker) and to the Birdland jazz club in New York also named in his honor. The song has become a jazz standard ; it has been covered by many artists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. I used a karaoke backing track. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. FAIR USE ONLY.

I wanted to pay homage in my way to a woman artist whose tragic destiny affected me deeply. The idea came to me the day before yesterday. I wanted a musical accompaniment of classical inspiration. So I visited my friend Jean-Louis Sambiasi, a composer, and found on his channel exactly what I wanted (http://fandalism.com/jlric/co5E) to illustrate the story of Camille Claudel, a French sculptor (1864-1943). I hope you will enjoy this video and this new collaboration.

Here's to you The one that always pulls us through Always do what you gotta do You're one of a kind Thank God you're mine. You're an angel dressed in armor You're the fair in every fight You're my life and my safe harbor Where the sun sets every night And if my love is blind I don't want to see the light. It's your beauty that betrays you Your smile gives you away Cause you're made of strength and mercy And my soul is yours to save I know this much is true When my world was dark and blue I know the only one who rescued me was you Close your eyes Let me tell you all the reasons why You're never gonna have to cry Because you're one of a kind Yeah, here's to you The one that always pulls us through You always do what you gotta do, baby, Because you're one of a kind. When your love pours down on me I know I'm finally free So I tell you gratefully Every single beat in my heart is yours to keep So close your eyes Let me tell you all the reasons why, babe, You're never gonna have to cry, baby, Because you're one of a kind Yeah, here's to you You're the one that always pulls us through You always do what you got to do, babe, 'Cause you're one of a kind. You're the reason why I'm breathing With a little look my way You're the reason that I'm feeling It's finally safe to stay!

Here is my cover of the song "Quelli Erano Giorni", the Italian version of the song "Le Temps des Fleurs" sung by Dalida in 1968. As the instrumental track I used was longer than the original song, I had the idea of adding two verses in English at the end, taken from "Those Were the Days" (the English version of this song - lyrics by Gene Raskin) ; this version was based on the Russian romance "Dorogoi dlinnoyu" ("Дорогой длинною") composed by Boris Fomin (1900-1948), lyrics by the poet Konstantin Podrevskii. Several artists have covered this song, including Mary Hopkin, Sandie Shaw, Gigliotta Cinquetti, Ivan Rebroff, Rika Zaraï, etc...Thank you for listening. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. LALALALALA.... Oggi son tornata in quella strada un buon ricordo mi ha portata là Eri insieme a un gruppo di persone e raccontavi: «Cari amici miei, quelli eran giorni, sì, erano giorni e tu al mondo no, non chiedere di più noi ballavamo un po' e senza musica, di là passava la nostra gioventù" Through the door there came familiar laughter I saw your face and heard you call my name Oh my friend we're older but no wiser For in our hearts the dreams are still the same Those were the days my friend We thought they'd never end We'd sing and dance forever and a day We'd live the life we choose We'd fight and never lose For we were young and sure to have our way. LALALALALA... Those were the days, oh yes those were the days

Here is my cover of the Spanish version of the famous song written by Charles Aznavour and Jacques Plante "La Bohème" (1965). It tells the story of a painter who remembers with nostalgia his youth spent on the heights of Montmartre. I based my interpretation on the cover of this song by Concha Buika. Concha Buika Balboa, is a Spanish singer of Equatorial Guinean origin, born May 11, 1972 in Palma de Mallorca (Spain). She grew up among gypsies and her music mixes flamenco with soul, jazz, funk and copla. Buika's voice has the raucous inflections of a jazz diva, the melismatic vocals of great flamenco singers and the tempo of an African queen. According to Warner Music Spain, her record company, Guika Concha is one of the most unique singers of the current Spanish music world. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. FAIR USE ONLY.

Here is my cover of "La Bohème", a wonderful song written by Charles Aznavour and Jacques Plante written in 1965. It tells the story of a painter who remembers with nostalgia his youth spent on the heights of Montmartre. Shahnour Varinag Aznavourian better known by his stage name Charles Aznavour, born 22 May 1924), is a French and Armenian singer, songwriter, actor, public activist and diplomat. Aznavour is known for his unique tenor voice. He is one of France's most popular and enduring singers. He has been dubbed France's Frank Sinatra . He has sung for presidents, popes and royalty, as well as at humanitarian events. In response to the 1988 Armenian earthquake, he founded the charitable organization Aznavour for Armenia along with his long-time friend impresario Levon Sayan. In 2009, he was appointed ambassador of Armenia to Switzerland, as well as Armenia's permanent delegate to the United Nations at Geneva. He started his latest tour in 2014. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. FAIR USE ONLY.

Here is my cover of the English version of the song "La Belle Vie". This is again my friend Christophe, a talented multi-instrumentalist, who prepared for me this beautiful instrumental version of the famous song composed by Sacha Distel in 1962 and covered by Tony Bennett in 1963, under the title "The Good Life". Sacha Alexander Distel, better known as Sacha Distel, was a French jazz guitarist, composer and singer of Russian origin (1933-2004). Encouraged by Ray Ventura (his uncle), Stan Getz, Django Reinhardt and others, he was to become a great jazz guitarist in the late 1950s. He played with a lot of famous guitarists such as Stéphane Grappelli, Roger Guerin, John Lewis and Lionel Hampton. Tony Bennett, whose real name is Anthony Dominick Benedetto (born August 3, 1926 in Queens, New York) is an American  singer of popular music, standards, show tunes, and jazz. Thank you for listening! NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. FAIR USE ONLY

Here is a new collaboration with Christophe whom I am very fortunate to have as a friend; he is a very talented multi-instrumentalist and a person that I like and admire a lot. He prepared for me this beautiful instrumental version of the famous song composed by Sacha Distel in 1962 "La Belle Vie". Christophe plys the piano, the guitar and the bass. As for me, I did my best to adapt my vocals to his version. Sacha-Alexander Distel, known as Sacha Distel, was a French jazz guitarist, a composer and a singer of Russian origin (1933-2004). Encouraged by Ray Ventura (his uncle), Stan Getz, Django Reinhardt and others, he was to become a great jazz guitarist in the late 1950s. He played with a lot of very famous guitarists including Stéphane Grappelli, Roger Guerin, John Lewis and Lionel Hampton. "La Belle Vie" became a jazz standard in 1963 when American singer Tony Bennett recorded the song under the title « The Good Life ». Thank you for listening! NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. I visited my friend, Palmer Kane Allen, on his channel the other day (http://fandalism.com/pkaemt218). I love Palmer's voice and as I also loved his version of Moon River, I asked him if he would allow me to put my vocals next to his. Palmer was very kind and accepted and so here is the result of this collaboration. I hope you will enjoy this cover. Moon River was written by Johnny Mercer and composed by Henry Mancini ; it was originally sung by Audrey Hepburn in the film by Blake Edwards, Breakfast at Tiffany's which was released in 1961. It was performed by Andy Williams at the 1962 Oscar Awards and was awarded the Oscar for Best Original Song. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. FAIR USE ONLY. LYRICS : Moon River wider than a mile I'm crossing you in style some day. You dream maker you heart breaker Wherever you're going I'm going your way. Two drifters off to see the world There's such a lot of world to see... We're after that same rainbow's end Waiting round the bend my huckleberry friend Moon river and me.

Here is my cover of a very pretty song by Mouloudji, a French singer I liked a lot. The title of the song is « Un Jour Tu verras » (One day you will see) ; it was released in 1954. I am accompanied on guitar by Alex (aka hyperboreal :https://www.youtube.com/user/hyperboreal). Marcel André Mouloudji (1922-1994) was a French singer-songwriter, painter and actor. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. FAIR USE ONLY.

Janucik, my Polish friend, told me the other day that he had just finished a new instrumental version of "Bésame Mucho". I therefore saw it as a very good opportunity for me to sing this beautiful love song again. And so here we go with a great bolero ... This song, composed in 1941 by Mexican singer Consuelo Velázquez (from an aria by Enrique Granados), was one of the most covered songs of the 20th century. Many famous artists have given it a try, including Charles Aznavour, Dalida, Nino Ferrer, Dario Moreno, Nana Mouskouri, Edith Piaf, Tino Rossi and of course . Cesaria Evora (1941-2011), a Cape Verdean singer who was nicknamed The Barefoot Diva because she always performed barefoot. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. FAIR USE ONLY. LYRICS: Bésame  Bésame mucho Como si fuera esta noche la última vez Bésame  Bésame mucho Qué tengo miedo a tenerte y perderte después Bésame  Bésame mucho Como si fuera esta noche la última vez Bésame  Bésame mucho Qué tengo miedo a tenerte y perderte después Quiero tenerte muy cerca  Mirarme en tus ojos Verte junto a mi Piensa que tal vez mañana yo ya estaré lejos  Muy lejos de ti Bésame  Bésame mucho Como si fuera esta noche la última vez Bésame  Bésame mucho Qué tengo miedo a perderte, perderte después Bésame  Bésame mucho Como si fuera esta noche la última vez Bésame  Bésame mucho Qué tengo miedo a tenerte y perderte después

I visited my friend Patrice (aka Zazapat) on his Youtube channel yesterday morning and I really found his cover of "Padam... Padam ... " very pretty; so I asked him if he would mind if I borrowed it ... And so here is the result of this new collaboration. « Padam... Padam ... » is a song about Paris, performed by Edith Piaf in 1951; lyrics by Henri Contet and music by Norbert Glanzberg. Thanks for listening ! NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED.

This is my cover of "Sailor" (original title: Seemann (Deine Heimat ist das Meer), a song written by Werner Scharfenberger and Fini Busch which via a 1959 recording by Lolita became an international hit, with its #5 peak on the Hot 100 chart in Billboard making "Sailor" the most successful American hit sung in German until "99 Luftballons" by Nena in 1984. The song also provided a comeback vehicle for two UK vocalists: Petula Clark and Anne Shelton whose respective versions of "Sailor" were both musical milestones for each singer ; I am accompanied by my Polish friend Janucik : https://www.youtube.com/user/janucik. I hope you will enjoy this Franco-American-Polish collaboration on this pretty German song. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. FAIR USE ONLY. This is my cover of « Since I Fell for You », a jazz and pop standard. The blues ballad was composed by Buddy Johnson in 1945 and was first popularized by his sister, Ella Johnson, with Buddy Johnson and His Orchestra. The biggest hit version was recorded by Lenny Welch in 1963, reaching number four on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has been covered by many great artists such as Nina Simone and Doris Day. I tried to put my vocals on this instrumental track which wasn’t designed to accommodate them… NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. FAIR USE ONLY.

I was touched by the way a singer/guitarist interpreted the Georges Brassens song « Les Bancs Publics » in the Parisian RER/metro the other day. I found out later that Patrick, that’s his name, is also a songwriter and composer. I listened to several of his songs and I chose this one. Then I asked my friend Jack Scannell if he would like to add a few flute notes to the song. So you have here the fruit of this new collaboration. I hope you will enjoy it. TRANSLATION: A few coins for the musician You listen to absent-mindedly in the morning It helps you feel good Deal with your everyday life You think he is happy and serene It helps make you feel good You give him a few pennies And you go hastily to work But… with a tune in your head Till the sunny days The happy days But the musician’s dreams Are birds’ dreams What he wants to do He doesn’t quite know But, on top of it all, he wants to be a musician That is why I am in the trains From early morning till night time That is why my role models have been Brassens, Brel, but also Johnny Hallyday For sure they gave me A certain liking for truth And taught me not to be ashamed Of being sensitive I heard that in this society It is something never to reveal For whoever boasts about it Is considred a fool But… you’ve done it, well done ! Don’t stop Cultivating what others Don’t have A few coins for these musicians You listen to absent-mindedly in the morning At midday, in the afternoon, in the evening too, I can do that all night, It helps you feel good Deal with your everyday life Look, it’s true, I am a musician, And I feel good about it

Here is my cover of Mon amant de Saint-Jean (My lover from Saint-John), a French song which was a bi... read moreg hit in 1942. This realistic song is about the love of a young woman for a seducer, a love without a future - lyrics by Leon Agel and music by Emile Carrara. The song was sung by Lucienne Delyle and it was her first big hit; it was then covered by many singers including Edith Piaf, Bourvil, Georgette Plana, Mouloudji and more recently Patrick Bruel and Zaz. To illustrate the video I used excerpts from the film Le Cœur sur la Main, a French film directed by André Berthomieu and starring Bourvil (1949), an actor I liked a lot. Bal musette refers to an open-air dancing event where an accordion band plays java, waltz, fox-trot in a very entertaining style. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED.

My dear son asked me the other day if he could try to sing the part I had tried to sing myself without much success. I was surprised, but very happy about his proposal. So here is our work on this beautiful song. Please note that he has never taken any singing lessons. « Vivo Per Lei " is a duet performed by Helene Segara and Andrea Bocelli in 1997. Helene Segara (born Hélène Rizzo Aurora Alice on February 26, 1971) is a French singer. She has been very popular since 1996 with titles such as Il y a trop de gens qui t'aiment, Elle tu l'aimes, On n'oublie jamais rien on vit avec or L'amour est un soleil. Andrea Bocelli, born on September 22nd 1958, is an Italian opera tenor who sings both classic tunes and pop songs. He has also performed in a variety of roles in some of the world's most prestigious opera houses. To date, he has recorded over a dozen albums (classical and pop). He was born with an inherited form of glaucoma and became completely blind at the age of 12. He is one of the world's most famous Italian singers and he is the classical music singer who has sold the most albums (over 80 million worldwide). NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. FAIR USE ONLY.

One of my friends suggested that I cover the song "Missing" by Everything but the Girl. Here is my work on this pretty song. Everything but the Girl, also known by the acronym EBTG, is a British artist duo created in 1982. It consists of Tracey Thorn (singer) and Ben Watt (composer, musician, singer). The song was released in August 1994 as a single from the band's eight album Amplified Heart. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. FAIR USE ONLY. LYRICS : I step off the train I'm walkin' down your street again And pass your door But you don't live there anymore It's years since you've been there And now you've disappeared somewhere Like outer space You've found some better place And I miss you (Like the deserts miss the rain) And I miss you Oh (Like the deserts miss the rain) Could you be dead? You always were two steps ahead Of ev'ryone We'd walk behind while you would run I look up at your house And I can almost hear you shout, down to me Where I always used to be And I miss you (Like the deserts miss the rain) And I miss you (Like the deserts miss the rain) Back on the train I ask why did I come again Can I confess? I've been hangin' 'round your old address And the years have proved To offer nothin' since you moved You're long gone But I can't move on And I miss you Oh-oh (Like the deserts miss the rain) And I miss you, yeah (Like the deserts miss the rain) And I miss you I step off the train I'm walkin' down your street again Pass your door I guess you don't live there anymore It's years since you've been there And now you've disappeared somewhere Like outer space You've found some better place And I miss you (Like the deserts miss the rain) And I miss you, yeah (Like the deserts miss the rain) And I miss you, and I miss you (Like the deserts miss the rain) And I miss you, yeah (Like the deserts miss the rain) Deserts miss the rain (Like the deserts miss the rain) Like the deserts miss the rain (Like the deserts miss the rain)

« Don‘t Raconte Moi N’importe Quoi » ® is a new original song and a new collaboration with my American friend, Marc Roberge (http://fandalism.com/mroberge). To illustrate the lyrics I wrote I used excerpts from the movie American Gigolo, a 1980 American film starring Richard Gere and Lauren Hutton, written and directed by Paul Schrader. Marc who is a multi-instrumentalist created the whole instrumental track using the few ideas I gave him. Not an easy task for him as I am not a musician, as you know. However we managed to produce this song very quickly. I hope you will enjoy it. I must say that we had quite a bit of fun with this one :) Don’t Raconte-Moi N’importe Quoi ® (Lyrics by Isarielle - Copyright April 28th 2014) Music by Marc Roberge INSTRUMENTAL Pa pa pa pa pa pa da Pa pa pa pa pa pa da Pa pa pa pa pa pa pa Pa da pa da Verse 1 Quand je t'appelle Tu dors encore Toujours au lit Il est midi Où étais-tu hier encore You didn't sleep At home, trésor Refrain/Chorus Don't raconte moi n'importe quoi You damn know que j’te crois pas Don't raconte moi n'importe quoi Because tu n'es qu'un gigolo Verse 2 Quand t’arrives Jsuis djà couchée Alors qu'ensemble On d’vait dîner Où étais-tu ce soir encore You lied to me Again, trésor Refrain/Chorus Don't raconte moi n'importe quoi You damn know que j’te crois pas Don't raconte moi n'importe quoi Because tu n'es qu'un gigolo Verse 3 Quand tu r’pars Je n’sais jamais Quand j’te reverrai Si tu reviendras Où seras-tu Demain encore With a new babe For sure, trésor INSTRUMENTAL No… Pa pa pa Pa pa Pa pa pa Refrain/Chorus Don't Raconte Moi N'importe Quoi You damn know que j’te crois pas Don't raconte moi n'importe quoi Because tu n'es qu'un gigolo Repeat Verse 3 Outro Don't raconte moi n'importe quoi You damn know que j’te crois pas Alors farewell, sayonara Alors farewell, ciao bello Pa pa pa pa pa pa pa...

Here is my cover of " Tiempo y Silencio ", a song which Cesaria Evora sang as a duet with Pedro Guerra in 2001. I chose to sing it alone, but a duet with a Spanish-American friend of mine is also in progress. My American friend Marc Roberge (http://fandalism.com/mroberge) created this superb instrumental version for me. Thank you so much, Marc. Cesaria Evora (1941-2011) is a popular Cape Verdean singer; she was nicknamed The Barefoot Diva due to her habit of performing barefoot on stage. With her hoarse voice she popularized the morna, a type of music from Cape Verde, and made it known to the general public worldwide. Her recording career and performances lasted 54 years, from 1957 to 2011. During her career, she sang mainly in Cape Verdean Creole, but also in French, hence the title of the song La Diva aux pieds nus (The barefoot Diva). She had the opportunity to perform in the most famous concert halls in the world, including at the Olympia in Paris. Here is my cover of « The Man I Love », from the 1924 musical Lady, Be Good, music by George Gershwin and lyrics by his brother Ira. As with many standards of the era, it became more famous as an independent popular song than as one from a Broadway musical. It has been covered by many artists, including Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Peggy Lee, Dinah Washington and Sarah Vaughan. I found this beautiful instrumental track on a Russian website. This is my cover of « Pour Une Amourette » by Leny Escudero. Leny Escudero, born in 1932 in Espinal (Spain) as Leny Escudero Joaquim, is a French actor and singer- songwriter. His father (of gypsy origin) and his mother (of Marrano origin) were Spanish Republicans, and illiterate ; they left their country ravaged by the civil war in 1939 and took refuge in Mayenne (France). Leny Escudero’s singing career began in 1957. In 1962, he released his first album (Ballade à Sylvie, Pour une amourette) which was a hit and launched his career. However, he abandoned everything for a world tour. In Dahomey (Africa), he built a school in the bush. He won the Grand Prize award of the Académie Charles Cros for his album Escudero 71. Songwriter and performer Leny Escudero was known for his distinctive voice, filled with emotion, rigor and sincerity. In the years 1970-1990, Escudero represented a certain style of French chanson with his thematic songs. The topics addressed in his lyrics are often sad and serious, such as the Spanish Civil War (album Vivre Pour Des Idées (Living for ideas) in 1973), dictatorships, and the abuse perpetrated against the inhabitants of our planet (album La Planète des Fous, 1977), or the passing of time. I used the pretty harmonica version by my friend Patrice, aka Zazapat (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDk4F5rYnHY) and visual excerpts (INA archives) from a TV show featuring Leny ESCUDERO singing "Pour Une Amourette », accompanied by the Raymond Lefevre orchestra (February 3rd 1966) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4Bi6S-sY2E NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. A few days after recording his most famous song, (Sittin 'On) The Dock of the Bay, he died at age 26 in a plane crash, leaving a rich legacy of musical works. The song has been covered by many artists such as Juliette Gréco, Edith Piaf, Yves Montand, Mireille Matthieu and Isabelle Aubret. Juliette Greco (born 7 February 1927) is a French popular chanson singer and actress. She became a devotee of the bohemian way-of-life in vogue among some intellectuals such as Jean-Paul Sartre and Boris Vian in Saint-Germain-des-Prés (an area of the 6th arrondissement of Paris located around the church of the former Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.) in post-war France. Jean-Paul Sartre said of Gréco that she had "millions of poems in her voice". Gréco spent the post-Liberation years frequenting the Saint Germain cafes, immersing herself in political and philosophical Bohemian culture. As a regular figure at music and poetry venues like Le Tabou on Rue Dauphine, Greco became acquainted with Miles Davis and Jean Cocteau, even being given a role in Cocteau’s film Orphée in 1949. That same year, she began a new singing career with a number of well-known French writers writing lyrics; Raymond Queneau's "Si tu t’imagines" was one of the very first songs that made her popular. I was bound to cover this wonderful song, « L’Âme des Poètes » (The Poets’ Soul), a song by French s... read moreinger and songwriter Charles Trenet (1951), featured in Bouquet de Joie, a movie by French film maker Maurice Cam. The song is an evocation of the legacy left by great poets through their works. It has been covered by many French artists, such as Jean Sablon, Yvette Giraud, Yves Montand, Juliette Greco, Fabienne Thibeault or Daniel Guichard. Louis Charles Auguste Claude Trenet, known as Charles Trenet (1913-2001) was most famous for his recordings from the late 1930s until the mid-1950s, though his career continued through the 1990s. In an era in which it was unusual for a singer to write their own material, Trenet wrote prolifically and declined to record any but his own songs. His best known songs include "Boum!", "La Mer", "Y'a d'la joie", "Que reste-t-il de nos amours?", "Ménilmontant" and "Douce France". His catalogue of songs is enormous, numbering close to a thousand. I only found a very fast karaoke track on Youtube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrPwVmY9NEE and as I did not want to sing « L’Âme des Poètes » so hastily, I slowed it down with Audacity (and that’s a first for me!). However, musically speaking, I think the barrel organ/honky tonk piano approach in this instrumental version goes well with the lyrics. So I had to adapt not only my vocals, but also my interpretation to this backing track which is very different from the original. I hope that Charles Trenet’s fans – and I am one of those, believe me – will forgive me if this version is very different from what they might have expected. Thank you for listening. The crowd sings them, a little distracted, Unaware of the author’s name, Not knowing for whom his heart beat. Sometimes one changes a word, a phrase, And when one has run out of ideas One goes “la la la, la la lay, La la la, la la lay.” Long, long, long After the poets have disappeared Their songs still flow through the streets. One day, perhaps, long after me, One day someone will sing This song to lull a pain Or some happy fate. It may make an old beggar live Or a child sleep. Or somewhere, beside the water, in springtime It will turn on a phonograph. Long, long, long After the poets have disappeared Their light spirits still flow through the streets. Isa chante "Drown In My Own Tears" This is my cover of "Drown in My Own Tears", or "I'll Drown in My Tears”, a blues song written by Henry Glover. It is best known in the version released as a single in 1956 by Ray Charles on the Atlantic record label. This song has been covered by dozens of artists, including Etta James, Dinah Washington, Eva cassidy, and Norah Jones. I have listened to several versions before coming up with this one. I hope you will like it. I used a backing track found on a Russian website. LYRICS: It brings a tear into my eyes When I begin to realize I've cried so much since you've been gone I guess I'll drown in my own tears I've been crying just like a child My pouring tears are running wild If you don't think you'll be home soon I guess I'll drown, oh yeah, in my own tears I know it's true Into each life Oh, some rain, rain must pour I'm so blue Here without you It keeps raining more and more Why don't you come home so I won't be all alone If you don't think you'll be home soon I guess I'll drown in my own tears Oh, don't let me (drown in my own tears) When I'm in trouble, baby (drown in my own tears) Oh, don't let me (drown in my own tears) I guess I'll drown in my own tears

Here is another beautiful song which I wanted to cover "Could I Have This Kiss Forever", a 2000 duet by singers Whitney Houston and Enrique Iglesias, written by Diane Warren. The song first appeared on Iglesias's debut English-language album Enrique and was conceived as a slow Latin- style ballad. It was successful internationally, topping the charts in several countries worldwide. I asked my American friend Mauricio Garay if he wouldn’t mind singing this duet with me as I thought his voice would suit mine real well. Interestingly, Whitney Houston and Enrique Iglesias had never actually met in person as both of them originally recorded the song in separate studios: Whitney in Hamburg (Germany) and Enrique in Los Angeles (USA). Well, Mauricio and I have never met either… but the comparison stops here^^

Hi folks! Here’s another original song written and composed by my good friend Robin Rendell from Trémolat, France. I must say that this is my preferred one so far. I hope you will enjoy it too. Thanks for listening! LYRICS: © Robin J Rendell Verse 1 When life is just gettin’ older And there’s nothin’ to fill it that’s more than the days That come along And go along And fly by faster And each time they do another memory fades Verse 2 The empty chair by the table And the clock on the wall that’s stopped tellin’ the time That comes and goes And never slows And takes us from the cradle And pays no regard for the one left behind Bridge So walk with me through the wild flower meadow Let the wind in your hair catch the sun on your face Smell the white dog rose as we pass by the hedgerow One more time put your arm around my waist One more time, tell me you love me One more time, make my day with your smile One more time, let me not feel so lonely One more time we can walk down the aisle Verse 3 Old photographs lost in the album And the ones in my head keep us safe in our youth That come alive When I close my eyes And forget where the time’s gone And each time they do I can hide from the truth Repeat Bridge

Here is my cover of "Still Loving You", a power ballad by Scorpions from their 1984 album Love at First Sting. It was the 2nd single of the album, reaching #64 on Billboard Hot 100. In France, the single was a very big hit and sold 1.7 million copies. Still Loving You was composed by guitarist Rudolf Schenker and written by Klaus Meine, the lead singer. The song is also considered to be a thinly veiled metaphor for a then still divided (Eastern & Western) Germany: "Your pride has built a wall so strong that I can't get through, is there really no chance to start once again?". I used a backing track found on a Russian website and used excerpts from this video (the Scorpions on German TV): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqVfs_zuwfY

This is my cover of Sag mir, wo die Blumen sind (Where have all the flowers gone), a song composed by Pete Seeger, translated into German by Max Colpet and performed by Marlene Dietrich. Marlene Dietrich was a German-born American actress and singer (1901-1992 ). In 1930, she became famous with the film The Blue Angel directed by Josef von Sternberg in which Lola-Lola, her character, sang the song " Ich bin von Kopf bis auf Liebe eingestellt Fuß " (" I'm made for love from head to foot "), a song covered many times. A staunch anti-Nazi, Marlene Dietrich became an American citizen in 1939. In 1962 her interpretation of the song Sag mir, wo die Blumen sind turned her into a prominent advocate of Cold War termination. Pete Seeger (1919-2014) was an American musician, left-wing activist and folk music pioneer. He and his friend Woody Guthrie paved the way for all the young artists that emerged in the 1960s-70s, such as Joan Baez and Bob Dylan. Some of his songs like Where have all the flowers gone ? are true anti-war anthems and as such they are very representative of the Flower Power movement. Harmonica accompaniment by Harproli : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onyRIDGecpo TRANSLATION : Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing? Where have all the flowers gone, long time ago? Where have all the flowers gone? Young girls have picked them everyone. Oh, when will they ever learn? x2 Where have all the young girls gone, long time passing? Where have all the young girls gone, long time ago? Where have all the young girls gone? Gone for husbands everyone. Sylvester James, Jr. (1947-1988), better known as Sylvester, was an American disco and soul singer-songwriter. Known for his flamboyant and androgynous appearance, he was often described as a drag queen, although he repeatedly rejected such a description. Responsible for a string of hit singles in the late 1970s, Sylvester became known in the United States under the moniker of the "Queen of Disco." An activist who campaigned against the spread of HIV/AIDS, Sylvester died from complications arising from the virus in 1988, one year after his companion. In 2004, Sylvester's anthem record, "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)," was inducted into the Dance Music Hall of Fame. A year later, Sylvester himself was inducted into the Dance Music Hall of Fame for his achievement as an artist. Here is my cover of the song "The Passantes" (The Women Who Pass You By), a poem by Antoine Pol (1888-1971), set to music and performed by Georges Brassens in 1972 (album Fernande). The song is about brief “might have been” relationships that stay with us for ever. Georges Brassens (1921-1981) was a French poet, singer-songwriter who set to music over a hundred of his own poems, accompanying himself on guitar. In addition to its own texts, Brassens also set to music poems by François Villon, Paul Verlaine, Paul Fort and Louis Aragon. He was awarded the Poetry Grand Prize by the French Academy in 1967. He recorded fourteen albums from 1952 to 1976. Some of his best-known songs are: Le Gorille, Les Copains d'abord, Chanson pour l'Auvergnat, Les Amoureux des bancs publics, La Mauvaise Réputation, Je me suis fait tout petit, Les Trompettes de la renommée, Supplique pour être enterré à la plage de Sète…

Here is my cover of the song 'Dis, quand reviendras-tu?' (Tell me, when will you return?) by French singer-songwriter Barbara (released in 1964 in the album of the same name). It was composed by her for her great love, Hubert Ballay, a French diplomat and businessman. In the song Barbara expresses her sadness about his absence and her desire to see him again. Monique Andrée Serf, known as Barbara, was a great artist who deeply influenced the French chanson for 40 years. She was friends with Jacques Brel and Georges Brassens, dressed in black and mostly sang melancholy songs of lost love. She died at the age of 67 (1930-1997). Piano accompaniment by Elie Draï : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1NC_Q8RATo TRANSLATION (adapted): Tell me, when will you return? How many nights, how many days. They are so, so long and you're far away, You promised this trip would be the last. No more torn sails on our shipwrecked hearts In spring, we will be together again, And spring is for love whispering under the moon, And together we'll smell fresh flowers in bloom, As we stroll arm in arm down Paris streets soon. Tell me, when will you return? Tell me, at least don't you know That all these moments passing Will hardly ever remain. That all these moments lost Will never come again Spring has long since fled Dry leaves crackle and wood fires burn Paris in late autumn is so beautiful But here I am listless, shivering as if in a dream My love for you rolls and pitches While listening to your old refrain I'm so so love sick that I talk to you in my sleep Your image still haunts me and I'm so desperate, Tell me, when will you return? Tell me, at the least don't you know That all these moments passing Will hardly ever remain. That all these moments lost Will never come again I love you now and I know I always will I love you and only you, you are my only love, But if you don't see that you must return to me Then our love will become my prettiest memory And I will continue my journey and will marvel at world's wonders And I'll hitch my poor heart to another bright star, I am not one of those who die of grief I can’t wait on the shore when my love is at sea Tell me, when will you return? Tell me, at least don't you know That all these moments passing Will hardly ever remain. That all these moments lost Will never come again

Robin and I are back with a new original song « Sweet Hearts Turn Sour ». When Robin proposed the lyrics to me I thought that it would be nice if we could sing the song as a duet. Robin, who had never duetted with anyone before, accepted ; that made me very happy. I hope you will like this new song :) LYRICS: © Robin J Rendell 2011 Catalogue Number 113 Verse 1 Sometimes it’s best to say goodbye before the time has come So why do we stay for the hurting time Hearts and flowers on an old tattoo fade too soon in the sun And we find ourselves in the worst of times Chorus Sweet hearts turn sour Sweet hearts bleed dry When sweet hearts build ivory towers One brick too high Verse 2 Truth can’t hide from lies that show how far apart we’ve grown So why do we stay for the wasted years Late night callers on the radio sound too close to home And we find ourselves face to face with the years Chorus Sweet hearts turn sour Sweet hearts bleed dry When sweet hearts build ivory towers One brick too high Bridge One brick too high And the walls come tumbling down One brick too high And your feet are back on the ground Verse 3 The end of love’s too hard a price when no one’s left to grieve So why do we stay for the blaming game Lovers’ knots round a tired bouquet chill the air we breathe And we find ourselves in the same old game Chorus Sweet hearts turn sour Sweet hearts bleed dry When sweet hearts build ivory towers One brick too high

My warmest thanks to you, Robin :) LYRICS : © Robin J Rendell 2007 I’ll miss the taste and touch of the man that I love And the sound of his voice in my head Who will he turn to when she’s not enough And he can’t hear the things that I said Will his eyes still look for me; fill up with tears for me Know that laughter’s okay Will he find time to smile for me, each time he thinks of me And remembers what got in the way I’ll miss my senses dancing to the smell of his skin And the warmth of his breath on my face Who will he see when she’s looking at him And there’s no one to take my place Will his hands still reach for me, thrilled at the thought of me Wishing they could let me in Will he find time to smile for me, each time he thinks of me And remembers what we might have been Bridge When there’s no more hellos, there can be no more goodbyes No more to know, no more surprises INSTRUMENTAL When there’s no more hellos, there can be no more goodbyes Time comes and goes and takes away her prizes When there’s no more hellos, there can be no more goodbyes No more to know, no more surprises When there’s no more hellos, there can be no more goodbyes Time comes and goes and takes away her prizes

" Aranjuez Mon Amour " is a 1967 adaptation by Richard Anthony of The Concierto de Aranjuez, a composition for classical guitar and orchestra by Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo (1939). Rodrigo wanted his work to capture " the fragrance of magnolias , the singing of birds, and running fountains " of the gardens of Aranjuez ( Madrid). Some have thought that Rodrigo’s composition had been inspired by the bombing of Guernica in 1937. Several artists have covered Richard Anthony’s song, including Amalia Rodrigues (1967) and Nana Mouskouri (1994). Amália da Piedade Rodrigues Rebordão (1920-1999) is a Portuguese singer and actress. She was nicknamed « the Queen of Fado ». Fado is a Portuguese musical genre that takes the form of a sad song usually accompanied by plucked string instruments. Fado songs are usually about imperfect love, jealousy, death and nostalgia of the past, the difficulty of living, grief, or exile. The word fado comes from the Latin word Fatum , which means "fate." I didn’t try to sing it like a fado, I just did it my way using Georgio Almeira’s beautiful backing track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djHT5plWSPE

The song was first sung by Adelaide Hall at Les Ambassadeurs Club in New York in January 1928 and in Lew Leslie's highly successful Blackbird Revue that same year. Many artists have covered this song, among whom Ella Fitzgerald in 1957. I found this instrumental track on a Russian karaoke website.

This is my cover (new vocal and audio-visual version) of the famous Christmas song sung by Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé and many others... Lyrics by Sammy Cahn, music composed by Jule Styne. Interestingly this song was written in Hollywood in July 1945 in the midst of a record heat wave... I WISH YOU ALL HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND A MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!

I was very happy when Jean-Chris Binetti (http://www.reverbnation.com/binetti) told me that he really liked my covers and that I would be welcome to sing on one of his instrumental tracks. Therefore I chose this superb melody which made me cry when I heard it for the first time… Following my inspiration I added some lyrics and visuals to it. I hope you will enjoy this new collaboration. Thank you very much, Jean-Chris :)

I wanted to cover « The Christmas Song », but in a different way. And so I asked Valentin Vasilev, my guitarist friend from Varna (Bulgaria), if he could help me out (http://fandalism.com/66val). He created for me this superb backing track in a bossa nova style. I hope you will enjoy this different version. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Val :) The Christmas Song" is a classic Christmas song written in 1944 by musician, composer, and vocalist Mel Tormé and American songwriter, composer, script writer and television producer Robert Wells. According to Tormé, the song was written during a blistering hot summer. In an effort to "stay cool by thinking cool", the most-performed Christmas song was born…
