I started playing guitar at 11. I wasn't interested in football or sport like my brother. My parents bought me a secondhand no-name nylon strung acoustic from a neighbour. I saved all my paper round money, my birthday money and my christmas money (I didn't want presents) to buy my first electric, a black Hondo II Les Paul copy. This was 1981.......

Not sure if it was Status Quo or a bunch of Scousers called Spider in 1984. All good time boogie stuff! A local band called "The Buster James Band" blew me away in 1985. I started doing their sound in 1998 and I'm still doing it!

Gear......mmmmmmm! Lol! Currently a late 1990s PRS McCarty Goldtop through a Marshall JVM 50W head with a 1960 cab. I also have a 1976 Gibson SG and a WEM Dominator.

Status Quo! My freinds brother had moved out but left his record collection, so we did the decent thing and played every single one! One 7" was marked "The Wild Side of Life" and I wondered if it was the same song as on my Dads Sidney Divine (a scottish country singer) album..... It was, but it ROCKED! Wow!
