I started on the guitar at the age of 11. I heard a lot of (guitar)music at home, but wasn't really interested to grab the guitar. It was Phil Keaggy that showed a whole different kind of guitarstyle and spent a lot of hours and days playing al the solo of Phil Keaggy. Later on, it was Larry Carlton who made me interested into jazz/fusion.

My first concert was a live performance from Phil Keaggy. That was awesome. But the real stunning concerts I will never forget were from the band Koinonia. So much fun while playing beautiful jazzrock. Those guys were true examples to me.

I have 3 custom made electric guitars. 2 were build by Dick Dijkman and 1 was made by Sander de Gier. I use 3 acoustic guitars. A Lag guitar (the four seasons - series), a Furch guitar (Jumbo w/ cutaway) and a custom made Morgan guitar (dreadnought model). I also use the Yamaha Silent nylon string guitar. The amps I use are The Mesa Engineering Triple Rectifier and Native Instrument's Guitar Rig (also for live).

There were 2 guitarplayers in specific who influenced me in my style. They are Phil Keaggy and Larry Carlton. From Phil Keaggy I learned not to a guitarsound into a certain box, but let it sound like other instruments. From Larry Carlton I learned phrasing, timing and grooving.

As a guitarplayer I have a band called Seraph. We play fusion / jazzrock, write our own tunes and we made 2 cd's. Our style is a bit like Yellowjackets, Flim and the BB's, Koinonia. We are working on our 3rd album, probably released at 2012.
I'm also working on a own fusion project, called Fusion of Spirits. We are in a demo phase.
I'm also working a lot with the talented singer Jessica Koomen. We do a lot of sessions in our hometown.

As a singer / songwriter, I sing and perform with my wife Reni. We are working into the Dutch Christian scene and all of our songs are all about the things in live, related to God and each other.

I'm also working as a producer. I produce a lot of cd's, mostly for the Christian market in The Netherlands.

My dream is to meet and jam with some of the core members of Koinonia. These guys meant a lot to me and my vision for life as a musician.

Well, the biggest audience was on a conference / festival called Opwekking. Almost 8000 people in a huge tent and 30.000 in the open air!!
The smallest was at a performance I did with my wife, 60 people. I believe that was the smallest one ever.
