Autoharp: Bradda (Original instrumental) I uploaded this tune played on the harmonica accompanied by guitar a few weeks ago. It is a tune I wrote for the Sessions on a Friday night at the Tynwald Inn where my fellow musicians have been kind enough to play it. I had only used my guitar at these sessions until this last Friday when for the first time I used the autoharp to play with them. I had been having difficulty with the arpeggio runs up and down the scale in the B and C parts, trying to play them using the G C and D chords:- G D G C D C G D G, but discovered that in fact this can be played just using G and Am:- G Am G Am G Am G Am G which is very much easier. So here is my tune Bradda (which I explained before is the name of the hill overlooking Port Erin Bay that I look out on from my flat window each day).

Sorry the drums are just one repeated loop and guitar lead could have been better but what the heck eh! Was just learning the software then in 2006.

"Jambalaya" hit the "watch on Youtube link in the middle of the screen to go to the video. Hank Jr always started his shows with the same 3 or 4 songs in a consistent way. After that you never knew what might happen. He was always looking for magic and inspiration. There were few or no rules. Just pedal to the metal. That is what threw me when I listened to this live recording. Hank always came out playing Jambalaya on the fiddle then moved on.to a few other songs that he knew the crowd would demand... Not here. Here he is playing guitar throughout and I am playing a non-stop Cajun backup and lead. This live recording I stumbled on, on the Interwebz is a rare version, maybe the only time we did it this way.
