How long have you been playing?
I started playing guitar after my 15th birthday. I was mostly inspired by Bob Dylan and Johhny Cash so my dad bought my a clasical guitar. I soon started going to "musical class" in school whit some friends of mine. I learned more, I played more frequently and I also jammed some times with my friends; We even made our own songs! :") Since then; Music has been a life inspiration for me.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
The first concert I ever went to was Willie Nelson in Antwerp, Belgium in the year 2008. Me and my parents really love that guy! :) It was so surprising that after so many years Willie still had an amazing voice. The whole concert was in general really well performed and the location was also really beautifull. (The theatre in which the concert was performed had a really royal look, and the seats were very comfortable! :)
What gear do you use?
I had a Yamaha C70 (classical guitar), but now I use an electrical guitar: Yamaha 112J. Though I now play electric guitar, I still love so much the "Acoustic Simulator" on my Roland Cube 20XL; acoustic playing was my very first style.... :")
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Definitely Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, but on the contrary also System of a Down and Iron Maiden and before all this, it was all about 50 Cent, Eminem & Snoop Dog. The more relaxing music with some blues and folkrock came from my parents. The television influenced me with it's mostly popular rap, hiphop & R&B. My older brother introduced me to metal! xD Racing games involved me into electronic music, punk and rock&roll. Later in High School, friends introduced me to alternative/progressive/exmerimental/art-rock music. And last but not least, my cousin was into playing bass and he really liked jazz, so I looked up a couple of stuff, eventually liking Jaco Pastorius, Django Reinhardt, BB king and much much more. :")
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Serj Tankian; He is an awesome person to me. I almost have the feeling that that guy can do anything with music! Many years System of a Down, 2 solo albums, Serart project, many collaborations, side project...He does it all...
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
Biggest audiance: Night Of The Music (in my Secondary School, Emmauscollege). About 70 to 100 people. Smallest audiance? 1; I performed like 4 of my own songs to my niece, she really liked it! xD
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
Voyage 34 (by Porcupine Tree), so I can fall asleep (or start trippin' xD). But seriously, I really like the album. It's very ambiental and it has a nice vibe to it. My friend gave it to me as a present with later him saying: "Well, it's the album which had the songs that were over 10 minutes, so it had to be good! xD"
