I started producing music at the age of 17 and have been writing ever since.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
Jamiroquai, 1996, Notting Hill Carnival and they were amazing.
What gear do you use?
Too many to list here. I use a variety depending on the style I'm writing. Most recently, it's been software based instrumentation controlled by a USB keyboard and a USB cardioid condenser mic. I use a lot of NI stuff along with some other great plugins.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Probably Jamiroquai again, but funk and soul in general - energetic music which comes from deep inside and expresses stuff with power. Other notable names include Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Röyksopp, The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, Quantic, The New Mastersounds, The Bamboos and the Quantic Soul Orchestra (for starters!)
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
Biggest, probably a few of thousand at a festival last year. Smallest 2 people, though one of them became a very dear friend to this day!
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
Too many to pick from, but probably, Travelling Without Moving (1996) - Jamiroquai (again) formative listening that has the full spectrum of emotions whilst remaining funky throughout.
