Having grown up surrounded by musicians, I picked up the guitar at age 8, along with several other instruments. I am far from old, but confident and talented. I pride myself in being a writer as well as a musician. Through music, i just want to set the world on fire.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
First concert was the Vans Warped Tour '06 -- went with my mom, she's rad you know, for a mom. Was pushed into my first mosh pit..by my mother. Met Mute Math, discovered D.O.R.K, Bryan and I play the same electric.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Honestly, my musical influences varied every other day growing up, and still do! However, if not for my father, I would have never picked up a guitar. He was and always will be my greatest influence and support.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Another guitarist and I do acoustic sets often together - met through school, love making music ensemble.
I front Drew Taylor & the J-brake. - met through church, play alternative rock, they're older guys but brilliant musicians. we've got great sound.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Ben Gibbard. He's a beautiful human being who writes the most intelligent music. I've never been disappointed with a Death Cab song. He's a phenomenal musician and a brilliant songwriter. Jamming with him would be an honor.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
Biggest audience? Oh jeez. A thousand +. The most memorable "big audience" was at a funeral actually. A friend of mine died. A lot of people showed up. Crazy.
