How long have you been playing?
Mom was a pianist/teacher and vocal coach so it was predetermined that a musical background would become a way of life and it has been since I can remember. I was 5 years old when I started my formal training on the piano via the Royal Toronto Conservatory of Music Syllabus.
By the time I was 14 I had completed the Conservatories Grade 9 but was more interested in other pursuits and dropped music till I was 17. This is when I started my acquaintance with the guitar. Certainly hope that someday I'll learn to play it ;-0

What was the first concert you ever went to?
First concert...hmmm...that's a tough one. I was likely around 6 years old and it would have been a classical concert of some sort at the local college. The college had a great program in the winter which they call 'The Overture Series" and we as a family went to all the productions. Again, my mother's efforts to ensure that her family would have some appreciation of the musical arts...and it worked! To this day I love all classical music, classical concerts, opera, ballet, and theater. Having just stated all this I should temper it by indicating one of Mom's favorite artists is Bob Marley ;-) So, yes there has always been diversity as well.
What gear do you use?
Yamaha - HS7 keyboard

Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Biggest Influences on my Music??
Other than my mother I would say Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Santana, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, Cole Porter, Ella, Billie, Turtles, CSN&Y, Dylan, Robbie Robertson, Clapton, David Gilmore, Joe Walsh, Pete Townsend...etc...etc...etc...
Why??
Well, because. Songs...it's all about the songs. Being a musician and a lover of music an appreciation for the "song" is at the front and I think I respect and am influenced the most by artists who create very distinct songs within their repertoire. In other words, each of their songs have their own sound and are not contrived from some formula bent on increased album sales. Even so I have no problem with anyone trying to make a living...good on them...I just wouldn't include them as one of my major influences, unless it was a grand idea for putting a few pennies into the account... ;-)
How did I get into them??
Silly question really, considering as a lover of music it is almost impossible to not listen to anything which presents itself. So, I have listened to a very wide variety of music...I may not actually own some of it, but I have heard it, and most likely appreciated it...for what I feel it's worth.

Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Not currently in a band. Was I? Weren't we all, playing Pop, Rock, Country...that was sometime previous. Now I play to stretch it out...
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
It would be you...because you are there and want to....
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
Small stuff really...largest...errr...umm...around 1000...smallest...just me...and too bad no one was there to hear it...it was spectacular!!
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
HELP by the Beatles ;-) Heard it wayyyy back then and I love it because I love all Beatles albums...
