I started around 6 years old, figuring stuff out by ear. Then began piano lessons around 8, which continued through high school and college. I picked up guitar in middle school and played viola in orchestra. I've added violin, cello, bass, accordion, banjo and baglama over the years. I'm currently nurturing a long time love for the sound of the Hammond organ.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
My mom singing to me. And the Beatles, and Paul McCartney and Wings. I liked the picture of the apple on the vinyl, how the apple was sliced open on one side and not the other.
