Have been playing all my life with whatever became available...aeroplanes, cars, dolls, furniture, ... a child's guitar, keyboard, piano, harmonica (mini accordeon), child's sax... when i was app. 20 i could afford myself a second hand electronic organ. Started to teach myself to make sounds on it, ... i dubbed U2 's "With or Without You' 20 times on tape and played the complete song, including feet pedals, also "Let It Be" from the Beatles and "Moonlight Sonate" from Beethoven.. ( i do not read notes... i do use my hearing... ) . Much later, in 2008, i discovered how to produce and record music with the help of my computer laptop. In the meantime I am using also instruments like guitar (acoustic and since recently electronic....), mouth harp, keyboard, and my voice ( and i cannot sing..... but use it sometimes....) :) Music making is my therapy. It makes me feel happy, clear and awake. :) and i do enjoy it very much.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
U2 and BB King, "Love Town Tour" ... Went to visit them twice... Live concerts could not get any better than that.... A MA ZING artists ... still.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
That is most defenitely David Bowie, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis and Kraftwerk, and later got mad about Pet Shop Boys. but in general i think it is too much to mention.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
i did sing in front of 150 people..... duh....... still got cramps in my stomach... ;)
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
I think I will make a home burned CD compilation album with the best pieces of my favorites artists ( that sounds imho politically correct... i cannot choose .. ) Lots of albums i got, however , in vinyl AND on Cd and /or music cassette so you should allow me to make a copy. gimme a break..but better make sure that Island has got power.....or eh.. just get my mp3 player with a huge battery :)) lalalala.... :)
