How long have you been playing?
I was 9 when I started playing organs and keyboards, also started to follow lessons for 7 years then. The feeling to create your own musical reality under the keys made me become a musician. And I have my music also on www.nogeno.com/cj
What was the first concert you ever went to?
That was a concert of Michael Jackson (R.I.P.) in Rotterdam, Netherlands. This concert was one of the shows of the 'Dangerous'-tour at that time. Went there with my neighbour-friend, as teenagers.
What gear do you use?
Roland Fantom X7, Korg Triton Le61, Yamaha MOX6, Roland AX-1 (all for live performing).
Also use a Mac with Logic for studio-recordings.

Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Yes, been in several bands (allround), performing at lots of events in the Netherlands but also Belgium and Germany. For a while I was also the keyboardplayer in the live-band of Dutch hiphop-artist Brainpower. At this moment I freelance with bands, no own band (yet). Besides I keep composing lounge-music but also songs for singers who need music.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Bob Marley and Prince and Brian Culbertson. I so wanna know how it is to be in their vibe, WHAT is that magic that they have.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
Around 15.000 people, in Belgium (Gent) . Most memorable: playing together with a 60-persons orchestra and performing with Brainpower.
Also many nice memories with my reggae-band 'Poor Man Friend' , lining-up and as supporting act with and for some international legendary reggae-artists (Yellowman, Alpha Blondy, Lucky Dube (R.I.P.)

You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
'Emancipation' by Prince (at that time he was named 'The Symbol') , because to me all the songs describe different phases and emotions of (daily) life. (It is also a 3-CD album ;-) )
