How long have you been playing?
I was 12 when I first heard John Lennon and was overwhelmed. At 14, I witnessed the genius of Jimi Hendrix and have been hooked ever since.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
Jimi Hendrix, the Spectrum in Philadelphia. He played on a revolving stage with a quad sound system pointing at 4 poles.
What gear do you use?
My Parker Deluxe Fly, pictured above. I run it through a Digitech RP500 and a Fender Mustang III amp. I love Sennheiser mics and Dean Markley Blue Steel Strings.
What are you looking for from Fandalism?
Exposure, exposure and for dessert, exposure.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Mostly Classic rock from the UK and horn bands from the USA.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I front Chuck Schaeffer Band, which features Larry Smith on guitar, Dave Roman on Bass, and Bob Martorella on Drums. We are currently finishing an EP and rehearsing for shows by late spring or early summer in the South Florida area.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Any one who plays better than I, because there's always something new you can learn from
someone else, even if you don't have a thing in common with them...Someone like Katsumi Yoshihara, because he is a very fluid player with great legato and is a great teacher as well. Would also like to jam with the great Elliott Randall, for obvious reasons.

What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
Too many to recount here, but anytime you get to play for a thousand or more, with a killer PA and pro lights, or open for a big headliner, it's memorable..
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
Dark side of the moon.. It never gets old, has exceptional musicianship, great production values and lots of ear candy.
