I started singing when I was 9 and I've played guitar for 2 years now. I aslo play the ukulele and really want to learn mandolin and harmonica.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
My first real concert was the Vans Warped Tour, 2 years ago, in Montreal. The crowd singing and screaming was the best thing ever. I just fell in love with music, again.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
I'm a big fan of Dallas Green (City And Colour). I've discovered him a year ago, while searching new artists on internet. I was tired of listening to the same old music. At the time, I was really into Forever The Sickest Kids, Paramore, Mayday Parade, stuff like that... but I wanted something else. When I discovered City And Colour, I thought: "This is it! This is what I've been searching for!" He's putting so much emotions into his songs, I can almost feel him next to me. He inspires me a lot as a musician.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Well, I do have a project with a friend of mine. Lauri-Anne and I want to start a band called Anna's Hummingbird, but we still need musicians. We're both singers, we're not necessarily badass guitarists, bassists or drummers, haha.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
DALLAS GREEN! Of course, haha. (way too enthusiastic...)
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
El Camino (Black Keys.) Ha, you thought I was going to say something from City and Colour, right? Well, no! City And Colour is just a little too depressing to bring on a desert island. Black Keys makes me wanna dance and sing out loud. Just what I would need.
