I just couldn't believe that Ian was in Grade 5 and only 11 years old. We call him the new soul of rock n roll...but he plays guitar like an old soul if u ask me and Ian's friends...When we started working on this tune together in the studio it was so much fun cause Ian is so musically creative. This is our first tune workin together.. Ian has written quite a few ... this was our first choice... He new all his parts he wanted to record. He surprised me cause I didn't know at the time he was going to place bass tracks and even lay down some drums .. i was quite surprised on how good a little drummer he is... we all hope you enjoy Ian's Perry's The Effects of Civilization ... producer Kevin (Buddrumming) Marcy "The Effect of Civilization" written by Ian Perry - Video by Roger Perry, - produced, mixed & engineered by Kevin (Buddrumming) Marcy recorded at: Buddrumming Recording Studios - Art work: Ian Perry - Buddrumming - Eye Mean Graphics Ltd. Ready for You - Justin Jones - Bilbozo - Rob Grant - Buddrumming Ready for You - Justin Jones - vocals - guitars - keys - Bilbozo - guitars - Rob Grant - bass - Buddrumming - Drums & percussion A little tribute for our musical friend 'Justin Jones'...Just like to say a few words back when ...2008 and 2009, Justin was writing and collabing with a lot of mixposure artists... Justin was learning to record at home so we were a work in progress learning to swap files and write together...He also was a very kool DJ in the mix chat room... he was awesome! great energy and very funny... we were always sending tracks to each other ... Ready for You was the last tune we were workin on ... Justin just sent me all tracks.. Justin also had bassist Rob Grant lay down a smokin bass track... Rob Grant is an amazing seasoned veteran musician and has done some major bass collabing... my friend guitarist Bilbozo also sent me some rockin tracks... so I thought I would mix this tune and just let you hear how good a rocker I think Justin Jones is ... so from the boyz in the band we hope you enjoy Ready for You...written & performed by Justin Jones.... thx, Bud "Ready for You" written by Justin Jones - produced by Buddrumming - recorded at: Buddrumming Studios - Justin & Bilbozo sent recording tracks - engineered, and mixed at Buddrumming Studios 2013 (BC, CANADA)

Buddrumming Black the Sky I found this backing track on the internet for drummers... I loved the groove of these guitar and bass tracks and thought it would be fun to learn double kick drums too.... I believe a band called King's X in 1994 released a song called Black the Sky on there 3rd album..... as you can see it sure was a drum workout... it was rough at first learning to play double kicks my left foot had a tough time keeping up... anyways I hope you enjoy this heavy rocker from all the boyz in the band..... Finally Battle of Bands Wichita 1991 Nanaimo BC Finally Battle of Bands Feb 11-17th 1991 - Can't always get what you want - Lee Warden - vocals - Toni Hammond - vocals - Linday Martell - vocals - Mitch Brown -vocals - Brock Miller - Alto Sax - Art Gold - Trombone - Colin Perry - Baritone Sax - Mike Norman - Tenor Sax - Joel Spillet - Keys - Luke Davison - Guitar - Cory Churko - Guitar - Ken Scardina - Bass - Kevin (buddrumming) Marcy - Drums We would just like to say it was alot of fun putting that musical event on ... we never dreamed of how much work it was... ...I think we had over 20 bands play that week...5 bands a night....1st prize was 100 Free Hours of studio time at Bastion Mobile Recording Studio....2nd prize was $2000.00 gift certificate from Peavy Music Connection...3rd prize was Fender Strat from Ferguson Music in Nanaimo I believe...Every band that entered was given a free taping of there live performance that way everyband was a winner... Fans were 60% of the vote (gave vote slips at door to vote for there favorite band that night) and judges were 40% of vote ...Even though a band was better..another band could have more friends and sway the vote... my friend Bill Henderson from a band called Chilliwack from Vancouver came over and help judged the finals (he calls me the little voice across the water on the phone) I wouln't take no for an answer from him...heheh...even got him up on stage with the Explorers and sang My Girl (Larry Simons owner the Queens talked Bill into that one ... what a singer) .....We had musical songwriting clinics during the day. Russel Marsland with Peavy did a free Guitar Peavy clinic. ... Bill Henderson (Chilliwack Band) did a free vocal and writing clinic.. and Bill Runge from Malispina College did a free horn clinic if i remember right...A lot of us put in a lot of hours to make that musical trip happen (we were all so tired) and I am as well as all our musical fans so grateful to everybody who was involved...it was a really fun way to promote live music...and now look at the reward ... There is some people involed like..Chub Radio and Gene Danials...Shaw Cable...Judges..performers...musicians ....Melva White owner of Wichita along with her staff....The Queens Hotel owner Larry Simons and his staff... the Shaw Cable crew...Scott Little John.. sound techs... (sorry guys the list is to long to thank everybody) ...its all blur to me...thx all for putting on the Battle of the Bands 1991 and making it a great success... I am writing this with a tear in my eye cause it brings back so many kool musical lasting memories for us forever!....Keep on rockin! Promoter Kevin (Buddrumming) Marcy

Ghost Riders in the Sky - Silver Mountain Band from Edmonton, Alberta Silver Mountain Band - Larry Kopra - vocals - guitar - Terry Kole - vocals - guitar - Barry Letwin - vocals - bass - Kevin (Bud) Marcy - drums and percussion - management - Ray Woodward - produced and engineered by Gary Dere at Damen Sound Trek Studios in Edmonton I had a lot of fun in this country band amidst the early eighties... I really learned alot about playing country music ... We were one of the first country bands at that time to use fog, smoke bombs..big PA ...came the term "Country Metal Band" ....I felt as a band we really worked on our music writing skills alot ...especially in the studio... Larry (kneeling on the right) and Terry (behind me on the left) were cousins who have been playing guitar and writing together since they were teenagers... What a rockin country pickin pair when they performed together especially their double guitar boogie... Barry is their youngest bass guitar pickin cousin also...it was only natural that the cousins were all so musically talented... I had just got back from the states and my sister Colleen took me to a saturday afternoon jam session ... I jumped up played a couple of tunes ...they asked me if I wanted a job drumming...probably a relief for my little sister since i was borrowing her couch....heheh...When I first joined the Band they were called Nevada........ very shortly down the road came Canada's heavy western country metal...The Silver Mountain Band........Kevin (Bud) Marcy drummer for Silver Mountain Band

Great impromptu version of The Joker Bud! Nice rockin' fellas! - Farrell Jackson Neil Evans I feel is one of Nanaimo's great bass players... he has a wicked bass groove and loves to work on bass parts for new original tunes ... we have done alot of gigs together over the years... Neil always musically impresses me... a couple of times he even played wearing gloves it was so cold outside when we were gigging...what a trooper and i still don't know how he did that and made it sound so good... Kevin (Bud) Marcy One of things way back when musically was that u had to play cover tunes in order to work ...nobody really wanted to hear originals that much at that time in the club scene... we really just wanted everybody to rock "n" roll...we have the best fans, family, and friends from around this planet if u ask me...we just like to say "Thank You." ... thanks to all the sponsors especially Eye Mean Graphics gang, Sandra Dunn, Sharon Heller, Sylvia Smith, Tina Coldwell and all who's involved for helping out with this charity event for the Nanaimo's Child Development Centre... The bands received a video tape of their performance courtesy of Shaw Cable (Nanaimo) who had a lot of cameras on hand throughout the event. Whole Hog Productions and Bastion City Mobile Recording handled the stage, sound & lighting. Among the many crucial volunteers were Brent Mark, Bill Stevenson, Colin Caryk, Brent Classon, Bill Smith (Bilbozo), Tina Coldwell (Ruotsalainen), Russ Greaves and Scott Macleod. KOARK, Nanaimo: won $1500 voucher from Nanaimo Music. Nolan Dommet, Jeff Woods, Al Tomlan, Josh Fulford, Jason Dickie Like a sly ogre intent on ripping all living things to shreds, singer Nolan Dommet is Koark's colourful and brilliant madman frontman. He's also got a powerful and accurate voice. Koark's entire act is cleverly geared for mass shock, sudden miscarriages and triggering snow avalanches in the Sudan ... in July. A tight band with a great rhythm section, they're fun to watch but not necessarily recommended for Prozac-withdrawals or for unarmed youngsters.

Congratulations each one of you on a beautiful piece of music. - Kalolakiss (DJ Mixposure) Hey all. My buddy Buddrumming put this little video together to commemorate the first year of the passing of Guitar Legend Gary Moore who passed away tragically and suddenly on Feb 6th, 2011.... A lot of cool photos of the late great Gary Moore. As well...It includes some snippet footage he filmed of me playing around in the studio last year during the sessions for recording the collab "Still Got the Blues for You" This was a collab to pay tribute to the Late Great Gary Moore.....I had the opportunity to collab with all of the talented gentlemen on several occasions... The talented Pete Tebar, David, Scott and Bud. As always it's been a true pleasure and honor to work with such great guys.....There is a point of great sorow when we lose an artist we all admire. I hope for the memory of Gary Moore, we have done some justice in paying tribute to his great music. - Bilbozo Written by Gary Moore - Tribute collaboration produced, engineered and mixed by Bill ( Bilbozo) Smith. The Ventures performed by Silver Mountain Band from Edmonton Slaughter on 10th Avenue - Wipe Out - Walk don't run Silver Mountain Band - Larry Kopra - ... lead vocals - guitar -harmonica - Terry Kole - vocals - guitar - Barry Letwin - vocals - bass - Kevin (Bud) Marcy - drums and percussion- management - Ray Woodward - produced and engineered by Gary Dere at Damen Sound Trek Studios in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. We recorded this in one take I believe..... Gary Dere our producer said the tape is rolling if u want to record... We thought it would be fun to jam some Ventures... everywhere we played we were always getting requests to play some Ventures...as a drummer can u play Wipe Out please .... it was the most requested drum song I think in my career.... It is not easy jamin these guys... Ventures always had so many musical instumental twists ..clean guitars.... I have watched many a group try to imitate these guys & crash and burn... Gotta Love the Ventures.... what a Rocking Band!!!I had a lot of fun in this country band amidst the early eighties... I really learned alot about playing country music ... We were one of the first country bands at that time to use fog, smoke bombs..big PA ... hence came the term "Country Metal Band" ....I felt as a band we really worked on our music writing skills alot ...especially in the studio... Larry (kneeling on the right) and Terry (behind me on the left) were cousins who have been playing guitar and writing together since they were teenagers... What a rockin country pickin pair when they performed together especially their double guitar boogie... Barry was their youngest bass guitar pickin cousin... it was only natural that the cousins were all so musically talented... When I first joined the band they were called Nevada.... very shortly down the road came Canada's heavy western country metal show...The Silver Mountain Band.... This is it! - Farrell Jackson - BuddrummingThis is it! - Farrell Jackson - music, vocals, song eng... read moreineering/production.Buddrumming - drums, percussion, and drums engineering/production. LOL, the immediate guitar riff really connects to my thoughts, the Stones . And that's just fine . It's pleasant. Also, within 30 seconds more, i've forgotten the Stones and the song is unique to Farrell Jackson....good vocal too- well done on the vocal accompaniment .... I like the harmonica addition. The rythm guitar still continues with a Stones flavour somehow. just noticed in your info, that Bud is the drummer here. i didn't want to overlook that in my comments. I've noticed that Bud's timing is machine perfect- in all the tracks i've heard him. - Shane (Mixposure)kudos on the tune guys. It is listening to tunes like this that make me want to write again. Thanks for sharing your music! - Dazed (Mixposure)You select the right title cause this is it!!! Really impressed by your crustal clear voice (as always)) and that southern feeling. Always your sound is perfect - my congrats. I like this arrangement and the mix between your voice and that very cool guitar sound. Yes This Is It!! Cant better be expressed. - Hooker GreenThis is my submission to the Site Song Challenge. I think I've got the criteria covered. It's a collab bewteen Bud and I. The drums are acoustic, my hamonica is acoustic, my Taylor GS Mini acoustic is acoustic, the bass, my LP, and Epi Casino are electrified so........I think it's good to go. Oh and my voice is acoustic, lol.I've been wanting to try the Nashville tuning for a long while so I re-strung my Fender Telecoustic. It sounds great in the song. It gives off the vibe of a twelve string in there. The lyric is self explanatory....I want to thank Bud for the great drums and also for the excellent promo poster! - Farrell JacksonLove to thank Farrell Jackson, what a great musical artist ... always a pro in my eyes.... so from the boyz in the band please enjoy! its Time you faced it - Farrell Jackson - Buddrumming Farrell Jackson - Songwriter all vocals, all guitars, bass, song production and mixing. Buddrumming - drums performance/engineering/production and ad design. About the song: I've had this basic rhythm guitar riff and the vocal da da's in my head for thirty five years so I guess it is truely a classic rock song in that sense, with influences from the 70's. This song has been in demo form for a year or so but it wasn't until Bud agreed to my request for real drums that I was able to finally hear how I wanted to produce it. Bud's drums are fantastic! We say it all the time but there really isn't a substitute for real drums. THANKS BUD! About the lyric: It's about the over indulgence, without responsiblty, of the tabloid antics from the likes of Paris Hilton, Nichole Richie, Linsey Lohan, Lila Tequila etc... It's not about any one specific but just that life style. I'm saying to that group...you're growing up so It's Time U Faced It. I must be getting old, lol! I hope you enjoy my song and Bud's drumming! - Farrell Jackson Bud.....awesome production....:)) Fantastic intro.....leading the way for a superb listen...! freakin' great lyrics ,vocals and instrumentation...Farrell.Bud bro....stellar' "tubs" AKA OUTSTANDING drums...lol !! Good time rockin' track gents..Excellent *****, - Larry T (Wherewolf) WOW...great track Farrell & Bud. This is definately classic rock materia. Essence of the Cars, The Knack and Tommy Tutone. Suerb writing Farrell...quippy with a hint of humor and sarcasm. Fantastic Guitar work as well ! This brought me back to a time when rock told stories and had meanings and lesson to be learned. Bravo guys ! - Bilbozo IT rocks and rocks and.... YEAH what a powerful tune. Comes like a steam boat. Dynamite and that outstanding voice -cool!!!My compliments for such a classic rock song. - Hooker Green Steve Gilmore's (Mixposure.com) review of It's Time U Faced It..... Sounds crazy to say it, but opening up my blog to reviews has changed my life, in more good ways than bad but one thing it does demand is time, and lots of it. It's also widened the range of musicians I am able to access, while restricting my access to other musicians who have become favourites. One consequence is that I can no longer find the time to review out of other websites like, for example, Mixposure which is where I know Farrell Jackson from. Thankfully he also has a Soundclick page so at least I get good old fashioned classic rock into my system every once in a while. If the name is unfamiliar to you, then I heartily suggest you check him out, he has had at least three Must Have's from me since The Train To Normal (January 2009) and that's no bad going at all. Speaking of Mixposure, Farrell shares the spotlight with another famous Mix name, Buddrumming who - not surprisingly - is a drummer (among other skills). His contribution to this track also included knob twiddling but certainly the main weight falls on Farrell who supplies 'all vocals, all guitars, bass, song production and mixing' not to mention writing it in the first place. As I mentioned earlier, Farrell specialises in classic rock, and does it very well indeed but..(Ed: uh oh) Got to tell you, some parts of It's Time U Faced It sound eerily like Yes in their heyday and that would be prog rock wouldn't it and you know that brings me out in a rash of venom. Mind you, to give them their due, Yes in their early days were amazing musicians and - much more to the point - inspirational vocalists and is really the one consistent thing I have liked about them, even at their most pompous. Farrell turns out a faultless performance of the vocal section in question which happens right at the end of the track. What you get beforehand is a steamy, highly active rock song with some of the best guitar melody lines I have heard in a good while. What it shows, more than anything, is the sheer attention to detail both Budd and Farrell are capable of, because - as a piece of music - it's almost faultless. Highly Recommended Classic Rock song - Steve Gilmore

Cool track and I like the story behind it. The drums sound great ...Well done all - Mike Prather Farrell.......This is a "CLASSIC"!!! Agreed! It's also a "Classic" production and performance. Your vocals are outstanding, man!!! Those harmonies are luscious. I LOVE this SONG!!! I think I can realte to this song quite well and it is a DEFINITE DOWNLOAD!!! Man!!! This will be a loop song, in my truck!!!! SUPERB!!!! EXCELLENT!!! LOVE EVERYTHING about it!!! - Rob Grant Another Year....a birthday song to myself, how vain, lol! ....I wrote this song a few years ago on a "feelin' down" week as my birthday, Jan. 13th, approached. The day came and went and life went on but I felt better for the effort wink .....Each year since then I've added something new, remixed, and reposted. My plan is to keep doing this until I run out of ideas or birthdays, which ever comes first, lol. The original single track with acoustic guitar, vocal, and harmonica was done live in the studio just as I would perform this song out. I just set up a single room mic and played away. The intent was to get the song started with the idea of going back and replacing these parts. But as I listened back to it there was a sound that stuck with me. Sometimes you capture a feeling or vibe from the moment that may not be recaptured when redone. So I stayed with the rough demo track with less than pristine acoustic guitar, lip smacks, sloppy harmonica, bumps, and other extraneous noises. I added some bass, keys, and backing vox hoping this would help clean and cover those . I also hope that any listeners will hear past the warts and just feel the vibe of the song. I know I do.... This years track additons are drums and percussions contributed by Buddrumming. Bud also did the picture/ad design for the song. Bud is a great drummer and his graphic designs are out of sight! Thanks Bud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you enjoy all the grit along with the spirit of Another Year - Farrell Jackson Really like to thank Farrell for asking me to work on the tubs on this tune...Always a treat to work with and he is such unique writer as always ... Restless Mind - Farrell Jackson - Buddrumming Restless Mind - Farrell Jackson - vocals - guitars - instruments - Buddrumming - drums - percussion very nice production again Bud, everything is very live sounding like you're all in the room jamming and I like that, a lot of headroom not too much compression very wide mix, great performances from all, truly a great track, five stars. - Big Pete Restless mind nights. Is there any other kind? I can't find the off switch these days LOL... Well as always, the vocals are spot on in the harmonies. Beautiful tone to the acoustic, and well, all the usual omg phrases that we all know so well. ....I prefer to concentrate on MUSIC.....How does the song sit,how do I feel with it? Well to be honest,I wuoldn't play it late at night, because that chrous would only get stuck on repeat play in the head.... It's a fragile little song with some rather nifty passages on the acoustic, specialy mid section, you were running up and down the neck chord wise there :) .... It is a lullabye of sorts, but it's more a feeling of the morning after when you relaise you gotta go another 18 hours before TRYING to sleep again. And oh my,how long those hours are and how hard it is to stay awake, yet as bedtime approaches...Wide awake :)... Beautiful little song Farrell,as usual,it got me thinking LOL - Nigel (Luca Wulf) Farrell...wow man! Really nice job on this song! Your acoustic guitars sounds awesome with cool electric leads...and your vocals are killer as always! Bud...Great job on the drums here...Enjoyed this song very much! -Gary (Rocker) Buddrumming and I have been wanting to collab on a song for a while now. I happened to have an unfinished mellow acoustic song called restless Mind that needed some drums or percussions. I asked Bud if he could do anything with this song in the drummimg area and what he came back with was excellent! He even threw in some percussions as icing on the cake. Thanks Bud! About the lyric: It's about those sleepless nights when one's mind just will not shut down.....those Restless Mind nights....we've all had them...so I wrote about it. - Farrell Jackson "Restless Mind" written by Farrell Jackson Produced, engineered and mixed by: Farrell Jackson Jaxonville Studio 2009 (California, U.S.A.)

Farrell Jackson - songwriter, all vocals, all guitars, harmonica, and co-production/mix- DrC - Organ and production/mix - Bilbozo - banjo and violin additions - Rob Grant - Bass -Buddrumming - drums, drum engineering My goal was to keep this song's sound from leaning too much in the country direction and to keep it middle of the road. I wanted a combination of Americana Rock/Country Rock/Folk Rock. So I figured the best way to do this was to ask for help from my friends. As you can see from the line up that none of us are really from the country side of music. In that respect, I think it worked. My highest praise and thanks goes out to all these fine musicians, DrC, Rob Grant, Buddrumming, and Bilbozo, that participated in this song. But I really want to thank DrC for his outstanding production and mix work and ideas. I'd also like to personally thank Bud for the excellent drums and song ad design. All these gentlemen helped me reach my goal. I'm calling this song's genre crossover. About the lyric: It's about a love relationship that has gone bad. It's presented from a one sided, male point of view but they're really both part of the un-fixable problem. The trash is being taken out....Thanks Bud for putting those fantastic real drums to my song! There's no question at all that you are truly a pro drummer in every way.....also the song's ad design that you've created is top notch! Thanks friend! ... I hope you enjoy my song and Pardon My Dust! - Farrell Jackson I would really like to thank all the boyz workin on this tune... I finnally got to do a tune with Rob Grant...amazing bass player.... Farrell has said it all .... Bilbozo is always fun to work in the studio with also...this was a fun collab to do ... Ian Perry - vocals - guitar - bass - drums In era where auto-tune and synth music rules the airways this tune is a very refreshing break from all that garbage on the radio. I am so glad to see real talent like this is alive. Love it! Joe Funktastic - Producer in Boston, Massachusetts Big smile to the little star! :) How awesome to be rockin' at such a young age, and you know what... this is really good!! Fantastic song and talents~ Congratulations to you all! =Bravo - Carol Sue (Mixposure) This young rocker is showing some real promise! - Farrell Jackson This one is a pure rocker indeed! 10/10 - Metal Master Joseph Rodriquez Great to be in the studio to hear Ian today. He's an amazing talent when it comes to guitar playing and songwriting. - Bill Smith (Bilbozo) When Ian first played me this tune I thought the hook was so catchy... Ian first laid down the drum track by memory and then the rhythm guitar and bass I believe... like to than Shaun Verreault (Wide Mouth Mason) for his musical ears , Bilbozo for also tuning in with guitar advice with his Line 6 500 pedal board...also his ears for sound... of course I should mention Ian's road manger Roger Perry and Tina Coldwell for there musical ears also... well, we hope you enjoy Ian Perry's "I know I am." thx to everybody involved making this possible, Buddrumming "I know I am" written by Ian Perry - (drums edited by Buddrumming) - Photo: Pascal Schoenhardt - Art work Buddrumming - Eye Mean Graphics - produced, engineered & mixed by Kevin (Buddrumming) Marcy- Buddrumming Studios (Nanaimo B.C. Expectations Ian Perry - vocals - guitar - keys Scott Macleod - bass Buddrumming - drums ......One of things that i luv about Ian's writing and sometimes I forget he is only a 11 years old he visualizes every instrument in his mind before we record... On this tune Ian wrote the drum track for this tune gave me a good idea what he wanted... he even can jump on my drums play every part if we had time... he plays bass, keys to compose and get his message across and is growing as a musical writer and artist all the time... like to thank Scott for putting down a wicked bass track... anyways from the boyz in the band we hope you enjoy Expectations! ...Producer Buddrumming Expectations written and composed by Ian Perry - produced, engineered & mixed by Buddrumming - Kevin (Bud) Marcy - Buddrumming Recording Studio Productions (Nanaimo BC, CANADA) SOCAN 2012 All International rights reserved
