This is a short film about finding if your name is in the 'Book Of Life',if your name is not mentioned, you go to the Fires Of Hell,if it is you go to Heaven. For the first piece of film i have used a tune i wrote called 'The Pendulum' and i think this works well, here the people are heading towards the Narrow Gates and these can be seen by the pillar of light. The second piece of film is set to some words from The Bible and this is warning the people about what could happen and in the final piece ,if you look into the flames of the fires you can see tormented figures, you can also imagine reflections on water in places showing the calm sea of fire about to rare up. I used another piece of my music called 'The Party' to represent Heaven and Hell .The start and end of the film represents a calm before the storm. All the best from myself,ps i am not a religious nut,it just seemed like a good idea at the time.

Here my latest CD at www.cdbaby.com/cd/neilhankin2. I had an idea to change this song to Geordie so i added my own words. This is an old Mexican folk song sung from a person from Newcastle On Tyne which is myself,Neil Hankin . I asked my friends to help me out and so David Chisnall,Carl Johnson,John Mackie and Barry Wain did just so.David Chisnall did all the editing for me and i cannot thank him enough. For more info go to email hankinneil@gmail.com

My version of this well known song played on my 10 year old daughters banjo.I was sitting in a lovely forest so i thougt i would try to record something, but its not easy with two mad dogs about your feet. For more info go to www.moonshinemadness.co.uk.A number of people have asked about the picking i use so i have tried to explain it here, hope you can get the gist.I play the song in B,only because it fits my voice, you will have to see what fits yours.I will play it on the vid[,not this one but a learning vid] in G,just to make it easier to explain but i will be using the chord pattern G to F to C,when i play the C i leave the first string open every time. You will need to play G at the fifth fret, then slide the whole chord down two frets for an F,then a C as i said with the open first string.I wii explain some of the patterns now. With the G chord on at the fifth fret i play the fourth string twice with my thumb,,then i play the first with my middle finger, then second with index, then third with thumb, then first with my middle, then i slide the chord down to F,play the same pattern, then down to C with open first and plat the same again. After this i play a single string pattern, for this i use thumb and index.Thumb picks 4 string open, then index plays 4 string at first fret, then thumb plays 4 string at second fret, then index plays 3 string open, then thumb plays 3 string at second fret, then index plays open third string, then thumb plays fourth string, second fret, then index plays open third, thats the whole pattern i use over and over,i sometimes when i am singing use a backup pattern of thumb on fourth string then i pick 3string,second string and first toghetether, hope this is of some use,i will start to do vid about seven o clock, all the best from Neil, anything else give us a call.
