How long have you been playing?

In 1960 I started singing lead with a Kansas City based Rhythm & Blues band called "The Chontels. When our lead guitarist dropped out of the band (196I) I started playing lead guitar. I practiced for hours daily, sometimes my finger tips would bleed. Been playing ever since.

What was the first concert you ever went to?

Actually, it was the old rock group Vannilla Fudge. That was in Joliet, Illinois in1968 or 69. The loudest damn band I ever heard live.

What gear do you use?

Right now I have a "Frankenstrat", which is composed of different parts from various strats. The neck is from a 1959, the body is a 1968, the tuners are "No name" Fender from about 1955ish era., etc.

What are you looking for from Fandalism?

Good talent and special guitarists and singers.

Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?

Lonnie Mack (guitarist) and Bobby Blue Bland (Vocals).

Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?

I retired from the road in 1985 (after 21 years on the road). Played all over the USA and clear up to the NOrth Pole (Thule Greenland) doing a Bob Hope USO tour. I had a Regional top 10 song on the charts in 1992 called "Softly". It should be on Fandalism.

What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?

Largest was thirteen thousands plus (13,000) in Prairie Village, Kansas. The smallest was a bartender and two waitresses back in 1966,

You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?

It would be my own album "THE OLD STONED HIPPIE", because it is a reflection of my life, friends, music, experiences, etc. The title cut (OSH) is now on Fandalism. There are also other tracks from the album posted.
