What was the first concert you ever went to?
I saw the Doors at Brown University. Most memorable was I got to talk with Rob, John & Ray. Jim was off somewhere else, but I was happy to meet them.
Since then I took a complete turn and went to see several country artists and of course, Jimmy Buffett.
The best shows in my opinion, (individual shows) Johnny Cash- Bobby Bare- Don Williams- the 1964 (Beatles tribute) band

What gear do you use?
Danelectro Silver Flake, Mosrite copy, and my favorite is my Fender P Bass but it has a broken neck so if I EVER start playing publicly again- It will be the Danni.
What are you looking for from Fandalism?
A lead guitar player/vocalist for the Durango Mango band located in central Maine.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Everyone from the Beatles to the Doors and Hank Sr to Johnny & June.
Some of my very first encounters with really cool music were my Mom's old 78 rpm records! I'd listen to the Andrews Sisters and all the stuff she had...(that I didn't accidentally break)

Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I was in Durango Mango for 18 years playing concerts, clubs, weddings and corporate outings until my lead player, soul mate, husband & best friend Eric Phillips passed away in December of 2011. I haven't played in public since he passed. We met through the New England Country Music Club, of which I am still president. The club means a lot to me. It features and promotes local country musicians and will be celebrating its 45th Anniversary in May, 2012.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
First and foremost, I'd give anything to be jamming with Eric. Other people from the past I admire and would like to jam with would be Johnny & June, Hank Sr. & Waylon. Current artists would definitely be Jamey Johnson and Jimmy Buffett.
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
I would cheat. I would have a compilation recording of all my favorites, from Jimmy Buffett to Hank Williams.

This is a tribute to Eric Phillips who passed unexpectedly on December 15, 2011. The song was recorded live on Cappy's Cape Cod Country TV show. It was the first time we played this song publicly. Eric tossed it out at us during the taping (he was good for surprising us like that) As we continued to feature it on our playlist it became smoother, but here it is- first time out and our only recording of it, yet we feel this is a fitting tribute to Eric. We hope you like it. Durango Mango.

It has been 10 months today since Eric and I shared our lives. As most of you know I have been posting tribute videos with Eric singing and playing in the Durango Mango band. This time, I wanted to try to make a light-hearted video becaus
e that WAS Eric- He loved to see people smile. I hope you like it. He was my best friend and I will never forget his wonderful, kind and caring ways. They don’t make ‘em like that anymore.

This is another tribute to Eric Phillips of the Durango Mango band. He passed unexpectedly on December 15, 2011. Eric loved this Jimmy Buffett song. We thought it would be nice to feature him singing "The Captain And The Kid"

A Pirate Looks At Forty
This video is dedicated to
Eric M. Phillips
June 11, 1952 - December 15, 2011
Eric was the lead player and vocalist in the Durango Mango band. He was all things "nautical" and loved the ocean. We chose this song because Jimmy Buffett wrote this for his friend Phil Clark who was "a pirate, who couldn't find his occupation in the twentieth century." Phil Clark died at a young age. Eric left this world way too soon as well.
This is our tribute to Eric. We miss you so much.
