Got my first real drumset at 11 for christmas. But as a younger child, everything was a drum. I became a musician when i realized the balance of presentation and skill.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
I went to ozzfest 96, with my parents. i remember my parents waiting through coal chamber and pantera to see black sabbath, only to leave early on account of a drunken fan offering to protect the kids if the current mosh pit got any closer
What gear do you use?
I play a five piece remo master touch acousticon r. Its all chrome, and i have a wood finished vintage deep ludwig snare. My cymbals are mainly focused on the zildjian contantinoples. Deep paiste vintage ride. I also keep a pair of cp bongos and a remo djembe. My toms are covered with remo fiberskyn heads, bass is remo chrome on the front and remo external adjustable dampening on batter side. Yamaha single pedal. id say my favorite piece is either my snare or the djembe.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
my next door neightbor was an amazing drummer. Growing up i remember hearing him play from my room or yard, and later in life i filled his role as the neighborhood noise.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Im in a band. We are called Freakuency. We cover modern hard rock. And are currently writing some new songs. we came together collectively from a compilation of other bands from all over. we are currently booking shows and always seeking new venues and opportunities.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
I always wanted to have a drum battle with jon bonham. not because i think id win, but just to see whod tire out first,.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
The biggest audience ive seen was around 2000 fans, and of course the smallest has been as low as bar staff only. my most memorable performance was actually the last show we did. mainly because my memory sucks
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
i could not listen to the same band and same songs over and over. i would eventually just turn it off and listen to songs in my brain.
