How long have you been playing?
My music career started when I was around 7 years old when I started playing the flute. In time I found out singing was more my thing and began singing in a band since I was 15.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
My first concert was probably my dad's. He played the bass since he was 17, guitars before that. He played in a lot of bands and sometimes he could bring his family along. So he did. It was always an adventure to me. Seeing these musicians play, having fun, people enjoying the music... it was so fascinating to me. I wanted to do that too!
What gear do you use?
I usually use my Sennheiser microphone my dad bought me for my 17th birthday. I still use it live on stage nowadays. Still works fine. Not as good as a new one would do, but it goes. My favorite piece is my old school Elvis mic. It rocks! For home recordings I use my Rode NT1-A.
What are you looking for from Fandalism?
Networking! Maybe we could help eachother out with finding gigs internationally? Me and my band Rouge United really want to tour outside of the Netherlands.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
I have had many influences and many will still come on my path. One of them is the late Jeffrey Scott Buckley.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I've been in several bands. You may know me from Memphis Lion or Flight 195. But right now I'm the leading lady of the pop/rock band Rouge United. Check us out at http://www.rougeunited.com or http://www.facebook.com/RougeUnited ! :)
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
I would love to jam with Dave Grohl, just because he's a hero. But I'd like to record a song with Slash. Wish I was the one, instead of Fergie. Haha...
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
I think the biggest was somewhere at a huge outdoor festival in Germany, when me and Flight 195 were touring through Europe. Maybe like 8000 people in the audience.
The most memorable performance to me was when I graduated with Memphis Lion on the 20th of May 2010. We did promotion ourselves, arranged ticket sells, rehearsed, made an EP and everything around it (artwork wise, website etc.) and it was amazing! We sold 112 EP's on that night. 250 guests were at our show.

You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
I would bring Jeff Buckley's Grace. I love every bit of that album. It contains soul and passion, which you can feel in Buckley's voice and guitar play.
