Picked up the guitar after hearing "black diamond" (KISS) ...that lead cast a spell on me....( laughs).... then the torture began.....

Hmmmm....well, I saw a lotta local acts & indie bands ( some made it big)...spent a lotta time in my bedroom jamming & writing music , didn't party much......in retrospect , I do wish I saw a few more cool supergroups in there prime then what i did see....(thank God for bootleg youtube vids ! , Now i get to see the stuff I missed ) lol .....

Oh geez, I was once a musical gear whore....there pretty much ain't a guitar or amp that i didn't once own , blow up, fix, hot-rod, or refuse to buy because it sounds so awful.....

I'm currently Happy with BLACKSTAR (low wattage) amps.....& Gibson guitars , but i do suspect I maybe returning to the FENDER / CHARVEL camp shortly there after......

but it all boils down to the basics, your wood , your magnets, & your fingers......once you understand these basic building blocks of tone, that fancy name on the headstock is just a glorified costly nameplate......build your own strat , its not rocket science.....

Hell, I'm psyched to be communicating with like minded musicians from other states & other countries....hopefully sooner than later I can land myself in a serious gigging band situation.. THIS SITE ROCKS !

I've been in a bunch, been playing with bands since I was 12 , rock, blues,wedding/top 40, metal, christian, (covers & originals) .

Rory Gallagher , his playing & tone truly moved me , Hendrix was a fan of his as well .....I would also love to jam with the ol' zinno music gang (both young & older).....And last but not least some of my dear musician friends who have past away , we didn't always agree on many topics, but once the music starts, everything's cool.... in retrospect, I would also love jam with Otis Rush Again ( chicago was incredible experience ) and all my wild musician friends at SET-FREE in CA. (good times indeed) ....

Playing "wipeout" in front of at least a thousand parents & kids on my acoustic with a humbucker stuffed in it going into a fuzz box & a P.A. , after the drum solo, i ran & jumped on my knees to win the crowd back....funny, I was 10yrs old at the time....that was the first of many live performances, some that I'm proud to remember, and there were a few shows, that I wish to forget..(everybody has some horror stories)...
Either way, I have a gift & I enjoy it, & through the years several others have as well....Music is a priveledge that I'm VERY THANKFUL FOR...

Laughs, then again, I would truly go bonkers without my guitar......really....I'd be quiet happy with an acoustic guitar , and a couple of blues harps & a notebook / pencil.....just the same.
